Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints: Breaking Down Miami's Game Plan
I found this over on the fins board... Worthy reading considering it was written from a Dolphins fan POV. He opens up very honestly.... more so than some Saints fans.

Re: Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints: Breaking Down Miami's Game Plan
What worries me is that unlike our first three opponents, Miami seems like a smart team. Beating a chessmaster coach like SP requires brains. More worrisome is that QB Ryan Tannehill plays with savvy and now experience, which can beat a young defense. This will be more about strategy and discipline and less about heart and energy than the first three games, and therefore a different kind of challenge.

Actually a pretty damn good read from a strategic view point. This is going to be a tough game.

Even the article notes that Khiry may be given a bigger load this week.

Re: Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints: Breaking Down Miami's Game Plan
Nice article. His only questionable statement is trying to use the Failcons success in the underneath zone. Fins don't have the same weapons so don't believe they can be as successful as the clowns were.

Re: Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints: Breaking Down Miami's Game Plan
Nice article. It's hard to disagree with much of anything said (bad or good). While I won't speak on the part involving ingram (discussed to death on the forums) I do think there is one thing that changed the last game. Drew did a lot better handling 7+ defenders in coverage. Much better than he did his first 2 games.
Instead of trying to force the throw where the play was designed to go against the cardinals, he readily dumped the ball off to his hot read. I can't state this enough, Brees needs to continue this trend to make sure we don't give the dolphins any easy points. The easiest way to lose a game you should win is by spotting your opponent easy points and/or momentum plays they wouldn't normally be able to generate on their own. |
