New Orleans Saints All-Pro guard Jahri Evans, who missed Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with a hamstring pull, said he is feeling better and plans to play against the Miami Dolphins on Monday.

Evans had never missed a game in his NFL career prior to last week, and snapped a streak of 114 consecutive starts when he sat out in favor of rookie Tim Lelito.

"That was something to be proud of but it's more important to be here for my team in the long run than missing a string of games," Evans said. "Fortunately it wasn't too serious where I had to miss more than one. I'll be back out there this week."
