We've Been Spotted
No more under the radar for us I'm afraid. I just watched AFC Playbook on the NFL Network and all the pundits are praising our defense and Rob Ryan.
What a difference a year can make huh? |
Re: We've Been Spotted
I'm making my red beans and rice with sausage right now and I'm not joking.Miami is going to be playing lights out along with Chicago and the Pats. And if you think the Bucs are done wait until they string together a few W's with a new QB. Carolina is no joke either, they just threw a team up against a wall by their neck and they did it with 15 players on IR. We have a long long way to go.

They fear us badly...

Re: We've Been Spotted
Whether if we are are on the radar or not, we are who we are. Our D is stout and any NFL team that we face that week will know it.
The fans of teams we play that week will realize it and by week 16, every pundit will have to bow to the Harley Davidson Defense. Suck it Skip Bayless |

In all seriousness though, the Dolphins want to be 4-0, and so do we (or at least the fans do). The team with the most determination, fight, and drive will win this game. I expect a good, game with the Saints on top, but who knows? It might be a blowout. |
Re: We've Been Spotted
Show a little love..... maybe we read into that, start feelin ourselves a little bit...... I don't think so.... Three games is hardly enough time to declare them Dome Patrol 2.... they have preformed well, under all kinds of circumstances..... and that bodes well for us for the games we have coming up........but don't bye into the hype machine just yet. I heard someone say we have bigger fish to fry..... Right now the focus should be on frying dolphin!!!!

Re: We've Been Spotted
With our promising young D and the MN SD crowd it's like throwing top fuel on a bonfire. I honestly don't see how Miami walks or limps away with a W. I'm not saying it can't happen but ....no, I'm saying it can't happen.

From doghouse to mansion in 3 weeks. The media people are dumb asses

Re: We've Been Spotted
I don't wanna sound like the pessimistic fan but lets really take a step back and consider who we have played here for a sec. On opening weekend we played our most hated rival pretty much without roddy white in a emotional filled game when we were getting our coach back and had to hold on for a last second win granted it was a win. week 2 we played against a Tampa team that is in all kinds of turmoil to be honest we played like crap offensively and probably should have been beat if not for that missed field goal we gave up a ton of yards on the ground again great to win but wasn't a very impressive by no means. Then comes in a cardinal team with their best player Larry Fitzgerald nursing a hamstring and a sitting duck in C. Palmer with no running game and a pretty awful defense we should have blown them out which we did. Now we will be getting into some teams that a pretty good lets just wait and see just how good we think we are after the next 3 games. I think the team is definitely better than last year but I wanna see them play against somebody before I get overly excited. ok now let the ripping commence.

Re: We've Been Spotted
I can and will give our D credit to the D for pulling our O out of the first and second game, and playing well in the third. I think if they keep playing the way they have we will be very fortunate to have hired Ryan but I also feel we have a long way to go and until our O gets back on track (meaning being consistent) that Ryan's D is going to have to play lights out each and every game. Sooner or later some offensive guru will figure out a blue print to his D and teams will game plan from that but until then I have liked what he had done. Although we have a few weaknesses on D I think they have shown enough to keep us in a game and hold down the fort, I'm buying in. It's a hell of a better D than what we had last year thanks to Ryan and it's young.

Re: We've Been Spotted
I will say it: The Miami Dolphins are not capable of beating the New Orleans Saints without the Saints helping them. If the Saints play like they did against the bird droppings and the yucs, then there is a decent chance the Saints will no longer be counted in the ranks of the unbeaten.
IMO, the only teams that will give the Saints a problem are the 40-whiners and the seachickens. |
Re: We've Been Spotted
I had saw AFC Playbook today and posted something not seeing this thread.
I like that the D is getting credit, but it seems like we're starting to get picked by the sports media "experts" more and more. I'd rather most of them would keep themselves and their BO off the bandwagon. |

Re: We've Been Spotted
I wasn't really being defensive but I guess I can see how it could be consider that way. I expect to be ripped for what I said. I don't think what you said was a ripping either.i am happy we are 3-0 but im just cautious in my excitement. so we are all good. Take a brewsky out of petty cash next time your at the pub on me :drink:

Re: We've Been Spotted
I like what I've seen so far, yes let's give them credit. But let's not start blowing sugar up our ass yet, it's only week three.

You know you sound that way because that is exactly what it is, a negative view point, void of the other half of the story. You and the rest of the pessimistic fans go through a great deal of trouble to try to protect optimists from them selves don't you? All the while ignoring the huge lengthy list of Saints IR. I am neither pessimist or optimist, I'm what you would call a realist. Consider this, the NFL season is a war of attrition. Teams do not lose because of an injury, they lose because of a lack of depth.... Teams also win because they have depth... Hartley misses a FG, we lose; their kicker misses a FG and we should have lost... WTF is that? Would be refreshing is if the eeyore's would kindly revisit the 2009 season and the injury reports in all of our opponents and please come back and tell us all the games we lost in theory but were lucky enough to have the winning score in the end. Please list all of the NFL games where any team has had an empty injury report. If you do not want to be excited then don't be..... other peoples excitement eating at you is your problem..... Not theirs. Let them enjoy what they like when they like. Happy Sunday |

And the Cardinals defense was so awful, it gained 6 yards on the ground the first half. I don't mind pessimistic, but at least let us be factual. |
