Re: Happy 90th Birthday Bum Phillips
Yes. BumP's best years were with the Houston Oilers.
90 years old is indeed a very Happy Birithday to him and his family for him. What a milestone. From what is reported, he is in relatively good health. I think his first wife passed away so living to be 90 must really be very important for him and his family. I do not know if his second wife is still living. BP was not a bad coach for N.O Saints. He msut take much joy in that Wade has done rather well in coaching best as asst. coach.BumP. was just passed his best years and then pulled many players who were passed theirs are who were very close to getting there: Kenny "Snake" Stabler, Earl "The Pearl" Campbell. We had then what we fans had and that was that. I never understood the Richard Todd time? Anyway, best to O.A."Bum" Phillips. |

Re: Happy 90th Birthday Bum Phillips
Bum was a first class gentleman. Ithink he lost a little of his drive and was just playing out the string by the time he got to the Saints. I loved Bum he was a character. Happy Bray Bum.
