Our fans

Did you notice the amount of empty seats when The Falcons were three scores down? Proof that they are among the worst fans a team could have. I know that we would have stayed until the end and it disgusts me when fans give up so easily. But still...
HAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!:roflmao:

Re: Our fans

The people of Atlanta, as a whole, are probably tied with the people of Los Angeles for the biggest quitters in sports.

There are more classless fan bases, like New York and Philadelphia, but as much as those fans whine and complain, at least they don't give up on their team after a couple games.

I'm a Braves fan, but I only associate with the team itself. I'm ashamed of the Braves fans that live in that area who either don't show up, quit on the team, or they make fools of themselves when they're actually paying attention. Falcons fans are no different.

Wow! Nice catch Halo!

Gotta be that Falcons Blogger who gave the reasons why the Falcons were gonna dominate us in Week 1...

Either that or Pete Prisco realizing he's being exposed for his total lack of understanding of the game of Football...

nobody can beat Carolinas fans as far as being fair weather. I used to live there and went to dozens of games because people just gave their tickets away, and I was there when they went to the Super Bowl and after. I went to games where there were more opposing teams fans than Panthers fans. This is no lie.

Folks in Atlanta arrive late and leave early for everything. Falcons games. Rock concerts. Movies. Parties. School events. It doesn't matter. I find it all very strange.

On another note, get me out of here. Thanks in advance..

This is one from one of their "old school" fans. I actually respect the original Falcons fans. They kept this rivalry fun, even when they were better than us.

This new group of fans they have are horrible. Full of bandwagoneers -

I have to give credit where credit is due. The Failcons never gave up and fought to the end trying to scratch and claw their way back. They almost did it. The two onside kick calls were ballsie and something I didn't expect from Smith. They just couldnt finish. They just cant get in the endzone when they need to at clutch moments. Unlike Brees and the Saints have shown over and over.

Re: Our fans

What we saw last night is a team with more talent than sense.

The Falcons can't get out if their own way.... They spent the game trying to get points they should have already had.... Smith had no sound reason to go for it instead of taking the FG that early in the game.... And when your best WR is locked down by Talib all night you throw some where else, especially when you have talent somewhere else. There was no reason for that INT.

They play like a team that cares more about fulfilling hype and trying to earn respect than winning a game. It's not always good to play with a chip on your shoulder, it clouds judgement.

They are as dangerous as a weapon in the hands of the untrained. Sure the gun is dangerous, sure it will go off, low chance of actually hitting the target consistently.

Good insight into why Can'tlanta will never be great, Oak. I stopped watching at the half, but only because at that point I had seen enough to realize the Failcons were gonna' fulfill their destiny by losing yet another game miserably,. Having to settle for a field goal on their first trip into the redzone (and subsequent trips), the #5 defense-against-the-run not being able to stop NE's ground game and Brady being able to make anyone, even the homeless guy down the street, look good at receiver was enough for me.

Can'tlanta doesn't lose because they don't have talent, they lose because they don't have heart. Bet.

I've used this phrase before and perhaps Atlanta is a good example. "In order to be successful, you have to know how to be successful".

It's such a simple statement but it doesn't resonate with many. Humans are their own worst enemy.
