Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
All they would talk about on every show was how good the Saints are. On Mike and Mike they were talking about if this team has a weak spot they cant see it. They called us number 2 and 3 in the league.
We are back no doubt, but even an idiot can see that we have some glaring holes that in a matter of time will be exploited. Goes to show you how the media can make a team look invincible to fans who don't actually watch the game and are not fans of said team. I like falling under the radar. Im glad we are getting national respect, I just hope some of the younger players don't eat all the cheese and start thinking they are invincible. |
Re: Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
Well, we were just on their TV broadcast last night. All the talking heads picked the Saints and now they look smart. I think the talk will even out in a few days and they will continue raving about Seattle and Denver again.
It would be good to be under the radar at 4-0 like the Chiefs, but we got our rings in 2009 so they won't sleep on us anymore. |

Well what's good in this case is Payton wont let them, and he has the tape to prove it..... That team was injured lots.... I'm happy that we are where we are but I know that miami didn't use every bullet they had in the gun.....

Steve Young and Jon Gruden love the Saints. I think Gruden would only return to coach the Saints.

Yes. Too much praise. Three of our four games have been at home. When I picked us to go 8-8, I still had us at 3-1 at this point of the season so we're only one game ahead of that.

Re: Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
These idiots are all overcorrecting because at the start of the season they all said we didn't have a chance. Who cares what they say, they know nothing.
I think this team has a pretty good chance to go 12-4, 13-3 and win the division. Past that, who knows. |
Re: Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
I still think without a run game we won't get too far. That's hole #1.

No run game won't be a problem until they stop the screen game, but to do that receivers will have to be left in single coverage...

Re: Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
if the dolphins were winning they would have been on that band wagon.
|
Re: Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
I think they park the Saints Bandwagon behind all the floats at Mardi Gras World. When they think the coast is clear they roll it out and of course they jump on. Except that smacker Greenie who is afraid he might get mugged in New Orleans he won't be on it he thinks the Jets will win the SB.

Personally, I say piss on the "under the radar" stuff. Put the league on notice. The New Orleans Saints are back and ready for a reckoning!

Media love comes and goes week by week.. I'm not paying any attention to it and I hope the team isn't either.

We'll see after the next two away games.

Re: Saints getting tons of props on ESPN. Maybe too much
This was our little "coming out" party....letting the world know that Sean Payton was back. There is no such thing as too much coverage of that fact.
