Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
Joniak’s Journal: Bears Can’t Miss Tackles Against Saints « CBS Chicago
On Bears: "Only six times in four games covering 47 possessions has the Bears defense forced a three and out. " On Brees: "At Soldier Field including the 2006 NFC championship, he’s completing only 55.7% of his passes, with a low for him 5.72 yards-per-pass attempt, with 7 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 2 fumbles, 7 sacks, and a 71.3 QBR." |
Re: Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
I see plenty of Bears games. They are WAAAAAAAY overrated. All you have to do is get in Cutler's head early on and he falls apart. Which obviously takes Brandon Marshall out of the equation.
Defense is pretty decent in the same way the Dolphins were, but I don't see how they can hold the Saints below 24 points or so. I expect our defense will have a big game against Cutler and that terrible offensive line. |
Re: Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
All of that and add in the fact that the temperture will be mild, good football weather. With no help from Mother Nature, the only way the lackluster bears pull this one out is if we forfeit. And thats not happening!

I thought the bears line improved?

Re: Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
It did
In the same way as going from living in a box to living in a clapped out old car is a improvement. Its a step up but it still sucks. |
Re: Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
This game is worrying. Brees has a frustrating tendency to do stupid things, and it seems like Soldier Field brings out the worst in that tendency.
We better jump on them early and get the hell out of town before the bratworst suckers get any confidence. |

What's interesting about the stats above though is the fact that his qbr is 73. For those stats I would expect it to be a lot lower. At any rate, I hope they have a game plan for peppers. He has a habit of causing problems in the backfield even if he doesn't get the actual sack himself. |
Re: Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
NFLNetwork just picked against us .... FWIW.

Re: Interesting read (from behind enemy lines)
Bad luck at Soldier Field. Is it just me, or do the Bears never come to New Orleans? Either way, Drew doesn't seem to like playing outdoors.
