:casstet: I have to believe that some pretty good back- up running backs will be made available to the Saints before the start of the season. A lot of teams in the past have released young backs who have florished with other teams. I am not sure that the Saints had to sign Terry Allen now!

I agree. Like I said earlier he is not the awnser. I dont think if Duece gets hurt Terry Allen will be able to carry the load. If the running game doesnt do its job this year the passing game is going to suffer hard. Terry Allen is not going to strike fear in any of the opposition.

Terry Allen is not going to be a game breaking back , here is what Terry is going to do , he is going to be a quality veteran for Duece to lean on in tight situations.Remember Duece and Allen have similar styles , he is familiar with the system and knows the coaches . 4th an 1 near the goal line hand it to Allen , he finds a way in .

Rather than have an entire rookie backfield with no leadership , Allen is a great vet pick up for Duece . With the current speed at wide receiver , it makes sense .If the opposition puts 8 in the box , they are gonna get burned .
