So much for remaining under the radar...
Quoting Ross Tucker of Sirius NFL Radio's "Opening Drive" this morning.
Quote:
Fortunately Booger McFarland wasn't convinced. Also both Sims and Collingsworth both picked the Pats to win this week on Inside the NFL. So maybe there is hope that we can stay undercover a bit longer. Of course 6-0 and beating the Pats at home will probably make it hopeless after this week. SFIAH |
Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
The cowboys have a good offense, but not 49 points against us good.
Denvers defense is their weakness, we lead the league in time of possession I believe? When we play denver in the superbowl, we'll keep Manning off the field lol |
Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
Denver is down several starters due to suspension and injury - that unit will get much better when they get their starters and depth back in place...

Figured it was so when ESPN yesterday was talking Saints Patriots non-stop.

Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
Von Millers return doesn't address Tony Romo dropping 506 yards and 5 TD passes on Denver.
Ravens dropped 27 points Giants dropped 23 points Oakland dropped 21 points Philadelphia dropped 20 points Dallas dropped 48 points Denver is 32nd in passing yards allowed And 24th in Points allowed. The return of 1 player is going to address all of that? Not hardly. We have more starters injured than Denver does and we are doing fine. |

As for the predictions, I advise all football fans to ignore the talking heads and their stupidity. It's like your medical doctors watching "The Doctors" on TV for tips and tricks of the trade. Think about it. |

Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
Don't really care what the media people say. They dogged the Saints out and left them for dead before the preseason even started. That in itself shows their lack of knowledge, so why should we give any merit to what they say now?

Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
**** the media, besides Glazer I don't pay much attention to what anyone has to say, most of it is just background noise
|
Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
Big difference between being under the radar with the talking heads and being under the radar with the next team we're playing. I'll guarantee we're not under the radar with the upcoming teams.

Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
I don't think we as a team are under the radar I think our d itself is under the radar. We've been highly effective offensively for years. But our d.. Is another story. We still are ranked 17 and 15 by some experts this week. Time to shake things up I guess.
Wonder how long it took for the 09 squad to get from under the radar. Was is when we backstroked past the Pats in the dome? |

Nope... We were picked against for the Cardinals, Vikings, and Colts that year. Remember.. Warner, Favre, and Payton.. there was no way we beat those QBs. |
Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
I'm not sure when the 2013 Saints were ever under the radar. 1st game of the season was "Sunday game of the week."

Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
Collingsworth knows nothing so I take that as an endorsement.

Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
We are good, and we have to keep getting better.
We have to ramp it up every week as we keep winning. Doesn't mean we have to score more and more points each week, it means we have to figure out how to win the the 17-13 games too. Everybody is locking us to win NFC south - our under radar is over. We are in the Elite-3 unbeatens and teams will love to pin up our scalps in their locker room. Not only do we have to be good, we have to be lucky a few times also. Can't do alot about the lucky, but with Payton back, he's getting the good out of these guys. I just hope they don't get all chummy when they start reading, hearing and seeing loads of good press. Tough win in Chicago. Another tough road game this week going into the bye week. I hope they focus and execute this week and whip the schlitz out of B&B... then relax and refuel over the next two weeks. |
Re: So much for remaining under the radar...
the Eastcoast media bias is true, but when the Saints were good in 2011, we got a lot of good coverage. i mean, we were setting all types of records that year. seems as though, on most of the sports shows i watch, the Saints are always the quick topic to discuss while other teams, with worse records, get more time.
like the only reason they are discussing saints now a lot is because they are playin the pats. graham is the deadliest skills position player in the league thus far and it is rarely addressed... i love it. |

Von Miller might be a good pass rusher, but just as they say that your secondary can't cover forever without a pass rush, you also can't get to the quarterback if your secondary gets burned so quickly that you can't get up the field. Champ Bailey is coming back, but I'm not sure what they can really expect from someone his age coming back from such a long layoff. |
