Big Bad John
Jenkins is playing well at NT. He gives the Saints D just what the doctor ordered. A space eating big man that can move. On run downs he occupies two linemen and frees up teammates to make tackles. On pass plays he pushes the pocket not allowing opposition and to step up and avoid outside rushers.
I was thrilled when we traded IVory and a 4th rd pick to pick him in the 3rd round. If there was a redraft Big Bad John Jenkins would not vet out of the 1st rd. Brilliant move by Loomis and company. Anchor of the DL for the near future. There is a 60 percent failure rate of 1st rd NT.God didn't make a lot of men 350#that can move. When pick one go get him. IMHO we got a great one. |
Re: Big Bad John
About time we started getting some luck when picking defense in the draft. Not that we haven't made some good picks in the past but we seem to have less success than when picking offense.

Re: Big Bad John
Really have enjoyed watching him play, and his growth will continue. Damn I'm so impressed with him

Re: Big Bad John
What a difference from Sed, isn't it?
|
Re: Big Bad John
He hasn't been eased into the game either, he was thrown in due to injuries
Loved seeing him grab Miami's RB on 3rd and inches and throw him to the turf |
Re: Big Bad John
This is what we wanted when we drafted Sullivan. Glad we finally did well in-house finding a DT. And a new nickname is born!

Big Bad John.. related to Leroy Brown.

Re: Big Bad John
yep he has my vote as the player with the biggest impact on defense so far as i choke down my crow sandwich. so it looks like our first round pick has a lot of catching up to do.
