Never give New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady time on the clock and a chance to win a game.

I suppose if it was anybody else besides Brady/Belichick, I imagine I'd be fuming, but this was a 'yardstick' game ... a game against a formidable opponent and two of the best in the business to really measure how far the Saints had come from last season.
Yeah, it'll be dissected, second-guessed, ranted and raved about, but that's how we do, that's part of being a "fan", but we're not the 1-4 Failclowns or the 0-5 Bucs, so it's still a pretty good day. I used to have a saying when I coached my kid's sports and they suffered a disappointing loss ... "Nobody wins 'em all kids ... except the '72 Miami Dolphins ... they won 'em all" ... it seemed appropriate then as now ... man, I hate to lose! Chin up, no shame. :) |
