Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

And, Deion and Co. are saying that he will now get the same treatment from other teams because he has been exposed. I have to wonder why one corner back had such an effect on JG when three guys on him last week couldn't slow him down. And, Talib left the game and still JG got no catches. What's up with this?

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

We put him on an island too many times going deep ... We should've kept him inside the formation ... Splitting a guy out wide makes it easy to nullify him .

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

I just hope he is OK. Losing him for even a few games would add injury to today's insult.

Yeah good we have the bi to get healthy ... Graham and Ingram should be ready to rock at home against the bills , progress out line was dominant

Oh yeah he will get mugged. time for him to stop being our #1 WR.

Yeah, but how many teams have the corner talent where they can put a top guy on one receiver all game? Belichick may have supplied the blueprint, but you have to have the materials & skilled labor in order to do the job, eh?

Thinking it is one thing, doing it is a whole 'nother thing altogether,.

This game would be more the exception then the rule, IMO.

Also, Payton and Jimmy are going to have two weeks to watch tape of that game while prepping for the Bills, I'm pretty sure in about 10 days they will have it ironed out for what to do when they see that defense again.

Jimmy Graham was no "secrete till yesterday". Every team we have played has tried to take him out with the best that they have. Every team for the rest of his career will do the same.

Not every team has a Talib to do it and that is what matters.

All of our receivers were mugged and held yesterday, not just Graham.

Lots of grabbing. Looked like the back seat of the car on junior prom night.

Did you by chance see that mugging and blatant hold on Gallette on the final play of the game? That was down right brutal.

Yes I saw that hold clear as day. So blatant. What's the point of having a ref behind the QB if he's not looking at blatant holds like that. Too busy watching Brady in awe instead of doing their job. And that's not me being a homer because I wouldn't be upset if that was called on us because the lineman CLEARLY held on that play...

There we a lot of BS calls in that game....the 4th & 1 where like 4 Pats jumped offside clearly and they called us for false start. BS personal foul on Jenkins who made a clean football hit....

Oh and my favorite...the holding flag they decided to pick up because, and I quote, "There was no holding on the play because the player ran through the hold..." WTF kind of explanation is that. Just cuz he was able to get away from the hold don't mean its NOT a hold!!

I didn't see it until I came on here, but I think at that point in the game the ref is thinking, "I don't want to make a call that's going to influence the outcome of the game" without realizing the previous calls (or lack of) that they've been making that have already influenced the outcome of the game ....

I firmly believe the refs were allowing the fans/coaches to influence them... They should be at least somewhat unbiased...

I dont know if it was just me but it looked like graham was completely intimidated by talib, jimmy got outmuscled on the line and looked like he didnt show any aggression or any passion to be in that game

If talib is going to jam you on the line, throw that mother to the ground, its within 5 yards so your all good

We don't know how long he was playing injured... He was caught limping long before he finally went to the back.

Talib coulda been called for PI everytime Graham was targeted, teams wanna do that then fine but we gotta get some calls going our way

I think it was just a physical game. We did our fair share of holding and jersey grabbing too. ie. K. Lewis - which was what we saw on TV, but otherwise I saw a lot of draping on receivers. Shame it comes down to ref interpretation to call or not to call it selectively.

Even if they have a talib to do so we have other weapons.. Pick ur poison.

Only difference being, everytime we did it a flag got thrown, everytime the pats did it, it was called great defense

On a side note, rafael bush knocked amendola into next week!!

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

Yeah I kept thinking that the 5 yard rule must have been repealed.

Maybe Graham getting nicked will force them to go back to the kind of unpredictable play calling that has made this one of the best offenses in the league for the last 8 years. You'd think the only weapons we have were Sproles and JG. Our WRs are contributing nothing to the offense this year and the screen is only going to work for so long if we keep going back to that well.

Yeah we're scoring pretty well so far but if we keep being 2 dimensional the good defenses are going to hand us our *****.

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

Our wrs aren't contributing? So what was Stills doing in the end zone? The sky isnt falling.. Drew just has favorites lol

You know Jimmy was known as being a flopper when he played hoops. Maybe he needed to use some of those skills better here to get those PI calls.

Just sayin' -- good acting is part of the game. :-)

Sean Payton says the same thing, reading between the lines. At least thats how I read it. x-(

Well one thing they do a good job with, is they disrupt you at the line of scrimmage better than anyone. They do a really good job of getting hands on receivers and tight ends. They are very well coached. They are disciplined, and they did a good job of that.

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

When you force it to him and everyone in the stadium knows it's coming to him, it's easier for a guy to get taking out the game. Spread the ball around and it's harder to stop one man.

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

I'm still disappointed with coach P, and the crappy play of the O-Line. Without that boneheaded penalty on BDP we win that game. I also can't believe how many passes Drew missed in the short area. Unbelievable. Also, it was completely obvious that the Pats grounds keepers cheated on the time outs. We have it on video. Why isn't the NFL office inundated with copies of this video proving they cheated. And they called us dirty???

Re: Marshall Faulk Says Jimmy Graham was mugged today

Well a couple of games like that from Graham and he will regret not taking that Saints offer the first go around, Loomis is a great negotiator and he sits like a hawk and wait for anything to degrade a players value for the best interest of the team to sign more talent for depth..
