I suspect the root behind the hate for Vick is probably centered around his failure to deliver on the field for both the Eagles and Falcons...

Other than being a #1 draft pick I do not see much positive since he entered the NFL.



As far as for the dog fighting... How much of a hypocrite do you have to be to get convicted and serve time for dog fighting then endorse the below:

Vick has lobbied for H.R. 2492, the Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act, which would establish federal misdemeanor penalties for spectators of illegal animal fighting and make it a felony for adults to bring children to fights.

Thats the equivalent to Kenneth Lay lobbying for tougher sentencing for Securities fraud, or the Mafia pushing stricter laws for Jury Tampering.

His "posse" was caught selling drugs using a truck registered to Vick.
His "posse" was caught on tape stealing an expensive watch at an airport security checkpoint.
Despite knowing he had genital herpes and seeking treatment at clinics under the alias "Ron Mexico", Vick had relations with a woman anyway and she contracted the disease.
After being booed for a terrible performance in a loss at the Georgia Dome, Vick made obscene gestures at his own fans.


There are more incidences involving drugs possession and steroids.

The fact that he served time in prison for illegal gambling rings and hanging dogs by the neck with bailing wire, just means he's not legally in debt to society.

It doesn't mean that he's not a grade A @%%#*!3.

Yeah, but that doesn't have anything to do with football ... that's why I'm confused that Danny Amendola doesn't make the list. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning any of that stuff and it certainly doesn't make me think any better of him, but it doesn't make me dislike him as a football player. What made me dislike him as a ball player was he ran the ball too much, :lol:.
