Re: Saints vs Jets
Trap game if there ever was one.
I bet we will be favorites. We always get burned by the home dog. |
Re: Saints vs Jets
the jets the worst team in the nfl earlier on just behind baltimore. houston superbowl bound, jets are as competitive as ever, texans runnin over the hills in harris county ravens slightly offbeat, why is it we go north to boston after tom flops in cincy. and he plays mvp in final 15sec. jets get the jp4 handed to um and guess who has to deal with the rebound again, we will not give this one back promise, payton saints 45 - robs jets, jets jets -24

Re: Saints vs Jets
Trap game. Jets are a bipolar team. One week they get beat, the next their defense is lights out and their young QB shows up and looks good. They'll give us their best shot for sure - they took last week off and this week they'll show up. I'll gladly accept a win in the last moments in a squeaker.

I think the Jets let the ass whippin' get to them. They play hard the first half -- we only score twice. But, the PTSD from this demoralization gets to them in the second half, as does their lack of an answer for JG and Kenny Stills. We win. |

Re: Saints vs Jets
"Trap game"... there's that term again.
The Jets were embarrassed by the Bengals, sure, but Payton was obviously pissed by his team performance after a 35-17 win. So I don't expect Payton to let up. |
Re: Saints vs Jets
"Bipolar" ... that describes the Jets to a "t" ... this is a game I view not as winnable for the Jets, but rather it's the Saints' to lose. Emotions are gonna' be high because of the obvious ... the 'Ryan' connection, the devastating loss to NYJ last week, the Saints being 6-1, et... and I'd fully expect it to be an exciting game except ... no Santonio Holmes for NYJ, Geno Smith is a rookie, a fumble machine, has 8 TD passes w/13 INT's and Marty Mornhinweg as an OC (which explains a lot of the 'bipolar' issue). Rob's defense is gonna' eat these boys up.
Honestly, I'm more worried about how the chilly weather is gonna' affect NO more than anything. |
