The only team currently for sale is the Vikings, and only the Saints, Vikings, and Colts currently are involved in unsettled stadium situations. Ellison's best bet, then, would be to buy one of those teams and move it.

We suspect that this story is a deliberate trial balloon, intended to determine the reaction in Minneapolis, Indianapolis, and New Orleansapolis regarding the prospect of Ellison snatching up the team and putting it into the Los Angeles market. Absent expansion, a current team would have to move in order to get the NFL back to L.A., and the league's most prudent course would be to move a team from the city that ******* the least about the departure.

At this point, the best candidate likely would be the Saints. Hell, Ellison might even get a ticker tape parade down Bourbon Street if he were to buy the team and move it as far out of Looziana as possible.
