What did Green Bay do to have success in running the ball?

Green Bay Packers used to be one of the worse teams running the ball, they were very similar to New Orleans Saints, a passing team and lack the running attack.

The last weeks we seen the Packers turn their weakness to strength, they are second leading team in rushing yards.

How they done that? can we follow and copy what they done and implement it to our team?

Well you can always start by drafting a running back that doesn't suck.

No but really you need better play from the O-line and better playcalling. You need to run at the right moments, and that might be when least expected.

Draft a Bama running back without a toe problem? Dude looked beastly.

Who knows, but with Rodgers down teams are gonna be bringing the hammer down on the kid.

A whole lot easier to run on the Bears without Briggs in the lineup.

I watched a lot of that game and as far as the running game goes I noticed one thing that really stood out. Its not what I saw as much as what I didn't see.

I didn't see 3 defenders pummel Eddie Lacy one microsecond after the hand-off 3 yards in the backfield.

I'm guessing thats a pretty good indicator that their running game will have more success than ours, but just wild speculation on my part.

I agree with the second part of this. Green bay does a great job of masking their intentions on run plays. Except when we run draw plays (which tend to be effective for us) teams pretty much know when we are getting ready to run. Quite frankly, our run game lacks the creativity that our pass game has plain and simple.

I would like to see more 2 back sets in our run game. Combinations with PT/Sproles, Sproles/Robinson, Robinson/PT. Imagine having to worry about sproles and thomas in the backfield on multiple plays. I would also like to see us take advantage of personnel. More run plays out of hurry up would be a good way to strategically create more favorable matchups in the run game.

I would very much like to switch back to the ball control offence we were during the Bears game.

In the NFL RBs need to reach the second level and usually have to break the first tackle. When you are hit before reaching the line of scrimmage you rarely are able to gain positive yardage I would like to see the Saints grab a great full back that can lead block ,run shirt yardage, and catch the ball.We are good at using the fullback. If there is a good fullback we should add him to our arsenal. Millard from OK or Copeland from LSU should be around in the 4th ,or5th rd

What is even more impressive with the Packers O LINE is that none of its starters has played a full season as a starter at their current positions.
