Saints vs. Cowboys preview discussion thread

Some very interesting topics have arisen in the preview articles for the Saints vs. Cowboys game this weekend in the Superdome. The Dallas media is not too kind on the Cowboys and their lack of running game versus Rob Ryan's Saints defense that is most effective against the pass, sprinkled with a tiny bit of revenge factor coming into the game. Cowboy’s lack run game
We posted earlier today an article from SportsDay Dallas Fort-Worth, a Dallas Morning News publication, explaining the woes the Cowboys have faced with offensive play-call inconsistency and lack of running game. If you're a Saints fan, this matchup is golden since just last week, the Saints allowed seven plays of 19 yards or more against the Jets which ultimately contributed to a loss.

Saints offensive line could be “The Story”
Without a doubt the Saints offensive line looked “offensive” even in pass protection last week. Coach Payton said that the hurries on Drew Brees by the Jets can’t all be blamed on the Saints offensive line, explaining that receivers and tight ends did not run crisp routes and dropped balls, which I think everyone agreed with in this forum.

Poor playcall selection
Specifically, Sean Payton also took the blame for the Saints loss last week to the Jets when he said "We've been a little bit lopsided. Pass protection becomes more manageable when you're running the football and so this gets back to me."

Walking WHAT?

Back in Black
The Saints return to the Superdome wearing all black uniforms for the game aginst the Cowboys. Some of the members love the black on black scheme, others think they look like leotards, still others feel wearing tutu’s is fine so long as the team gets the job done.
