Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

Who's the better TD dancer lol?

Re: Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

Payton got HIGHLY pissed when PT23 went into his dance...

yeah I saw that! He didn't want that 15 yard penalty tacked on

Re: Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

I prefer it when there isn't a dance. Kind of like "whatever, we score all the time. No big deal". That gets to a defense.

Lance is from Ohio, Pierre is from Illinois.

I live in the Midwest, and I will tell you, nobody from either of those locales can dance.

Lance Moore Can dance... You may not always like the particular dance, but he's got skills. I heard somewhere that he pics one from You tube until he masters it. I think that's pretty clever...

Vince Lombardi said it best.....

"When you get into the end zone, act like you've been there before."

Re: Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

Save all that crap for Dancing with the Stars. While I understand Ingram's joy he also needs to stop with the helmet slapping and frolicking before he gives him self a concussion.

Score a TD in the SB or NFC Championship game, have fun... Until then get back in there and do it again.

Colston. One reason why I love him. TD and right back to business as usual.
Graham pisses me off the most. Hes gonna come down on that ankle wrong one day and we will be screwed.

With the rules this year on celebrating, delay of game and unsportsmanlike conduct - it aint worth it.

Sad but true, I always enjoyed the dancing - good or bad :bananajoy:

I don't mind a spiked ball, high fiving, spiking the ball over goal post, even the Lanbeau leap, but I absolutely hate those stupid dances. Sorry, that just me.

Re: Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

I kinda like a short quick celebratory dance and I"m glad we have so many chances for our players to do them.

dam1953 11-11-2013 12:47 PM

Re: Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

The only moves I like to see are those that it takes to GET INTO the end zone. All the others are a total waste of energy.

I liked the way Barry Sanders did it. Score the TD, toss the ball to the ref and jog off the field.

Maybe I'm just old.

But to answer the poll question, Lance's dances. (although there have been too few of them lately)

I understand both points of view.

But I like dancing, especially, when its funny.
I like celebrations that are an expression of joy, and not a taunt,
like running backward, or that obnoxious stop and step that desmond howard
did for the Packers in the Super Bowl. That was disrespectful.
There's no reason for it, but I couldnt stand Deion Sanders.

I loved Billy White Shoes Johnson, Ernest Givens, and even OchoCinco.
The dancing was really good in late 80s / early 90s.
I understand all the "act like you've been there," etc, but I enjoy the added
entertainment --- Everyone should see a Mark Gastineau Sack Dance, or even
Jared Allen's hog tie. (which, as a rodeo child, I know, is actually tying a calf)

Lance Moore is easily our best dancer.

Pierre? Are you kidding. I love Pierre. He may be my favorite Saint now,
but Im pretty sure there's a caucasian in his ancestry somewhere, cuz
his dancing is sadly white.

I can't believe you left out the Ickey shuffle. :D

Haha! I was laughing pretty hard at both of'em until Ingram started doing his "I got to carry the ball again!" dance. I stopped laughing at those.

Act like you been there...oh how I hate that saying. People are different. People react differently to certain things. People have different personalities. Listen to Barry Sanders talk, and its obviously just not in his nature to be emotional. IDC. If you don't celebrate cool. If you do, even better.

Not to try to correct like my teenage daughter, but it's actually a Torn Plantar Fascia - and that makes it worse than an ankle injury; and if you understand the mechanic of the foot, you can understand its importance...

And what causes concern is when we're injured we try to compensate to other local areas and joints; and with the way Jimmy plays (and celebrates) he can cause further injuries...

I don't mind it sometime, but for the most part "act like you've been there" is where I'm at ... I like the 'Barry' flip-the-ball-to-the-ref, the 'Jimmy' dunk-over-the-crossbar and even the 'Victor Cruz' salsa, but sometimes players get way out of hand with celebrations, IMO.

The biggest thing that irks me about celebrations is when a team is totally out of a game and getting their arse's handed to 'em, makes some kind of decent play against an opponent that is obviously letting up and riding the lead out, and they go into excessive celebration mode like they've accomplished something ... false motivation & too much theatrics,.

Re: Lance Moore or Pierre Thomas

There appears to be something esoteric with PT's dance between he and the rest of the team. That dance is just silly.

I don't mind a good dance but Colston is just cool. He barely gets the recognition he deserves for being one of the best WR's over the last eight years because he doesn't jump around and seek the attention.

Neither, almost as bad as that Brees/Daniels post score patty cake thing.
I side with Colston and his single finger salute. Call me old.

Hey, I resemble that remark, ... I was sitting there watching the games yesterday thinking, "Man, I wish they'd let 'em spin the ball after a TD without fining 'em ... nothing says 'I just beat you' like spinning the ball in the endzone," ... forget the dancing and theatrics around it while it spins ... just a nice, crisp, clean, professional "spin".

I am with you 100% on this. I wish Payton would tell him to stop dunking over the goal post.
