VD + Gore vs Harp + Malcolm
 

This matchup has been a bad deal for is in recent years. We take away the run then VD gets open, we take away VD and then Gore gashes us. All we have to do is contain both since the niners WR corps sucks balls.

I really wish Vaccarro was in this game because I think the 3 safety set with him Harper and MJ would be good in containing VD. Then it's up our LB to stop the run.

Before the B&G Crew comes down on me for bashing Harper I just want to say that you have to consider that Harper has been absolutely lit up by Davis in the past.

I think our offense is as good and healthy as the one that almost beat the niners in the playoffs a few years back so I am not as concerned about that. Still they are very tough to move chains on - I think mainly because we never seem to get our screen game working against them. They seem to be nasty in the flats.

My guess is that Vernon Davis is used to block more than receiving since that is what SF has been doing with him this season against strong defenses.

We are going to keep pressure on Kap, forcing the run and they simply will not be able to keep up in scoring.

And it was Malcolm Jenkins that Davis lit up all game (2011), not Harper.

Colin is going to be the wild card... The rest we can handle. Once we get 14 up he will be forced to throw and its duck season.

Davis lit us up cause he was the only target Alex Smith passed to. Ryan can scheme to stop Gore and force Kaepernick to try and win it with his arm.

That was the game Gore gashed us. We contained VD but then we let the other TE eat us up.

do to VD what we did to Dez Bryant, nothing else on the 49ers that concern me except Gore. Once you take VD out of the picture (as long as ****ing harper aint on the TE) then you can focus on Gore.

Stop the run, first and foremost. I'm calling it: SF runs for more than 150 yards, they win and turn out the lights.

But, MAN, it better not be! I'm a Niner-hater waaaay back, and this 2-game losing streak against this turd of a team ends NOW! Payton's back, Spags is gone...this ain't 2012.

Find someone to get physical with Davis. He's banged up and needs to be banged on. Then, single the outside guys and play the run. Game over if they can execute it. WHO DAT!

If Kaepernut is off again sunday and over throws the barn you want Harper on the field.

OLB gets sealed off and the CB and safety support has not been there to stop the runs off tackle. Thats were Harper thrives.

Let lewis take boldin and have at least to players hit davis before he gets 5 yards deep and Kaep will be limited. DL stays in their lanes and the LB and Safeties should be raking up tackles all game long.

just admit it when it comes to run stopping Harper is the man. passing not so much

The DL did not keep there lanes most of the day. that is what killed us more than anything

Debatable, Davis caught it just out of reach of the LB and in front of the safety. To blame that on Harper is shortsighted.

But that was one play. To say Davis lit up Harper all day is simply wrong.

It was five turnovers that killed us more than anything. FIVE freaking turnovers? Has any team every won an NFL playoff game with five turnovers?
