Agreed B_Dub. We are going to beat them so bad that people will fall off of the Carolina bandwagon from the beating bump.

You know Payton has been waiting for this game since 2012. This one has been circled on the calendar for a long time, and then factor in that he's had a year of stewing, sitting on the couch.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

Hope so. They are gonna be tough as usual. Kapernick has been figured out and is in a slump but he can still hurt you as long as Gholston is on the field.
This game is going to depend on our offensive line protecting Brees and our ability to stop the run. If we can do either of those this game could get ugly for them quick.

Thats a bit ambitious. These guys aren't Dallas and their D is hella better than most we have played this year.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

I hope Drew and the offense rips them to shreds. I hope the defense collapses the pocket and puts Kaepernick to the turf all night.

They have Gore, and that offense is scary when he gets rolling. He is why the play action works so well.

I'm hoping we destroy them, but the realist in me says its gonna be a tough one. If we run the ball half as good as last week, we can steam roll them. That in itself is a tall order against their D.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

Yes all about stopping the run game. I think all the press screwed up Kaepernicks head.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

We have a tough time running the ball against this D. Ball security is as always a key . Run D is the key for us on Sunday. Starting fast and forcing Kap to make his throws.Make np mistake this is a team that we have problems with.Turnovers have been the reason they have beat us the last two times we have played them. Don't get a single beer to watch the game get a six pack its gonna be a war.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

In 2011/12, SFran had the #1 defense against the run, allowing 77yds per game and only 3 rushing TDs all season. 2012/13 they slipped to #4, allowing 94yds per game and 7 rushing TDs per game ... fast forward to 2013 ... they're #11 against the run, average over 100yds rushing per game and have allowed 8 rushing TDs in 9 games thus far. It's been a slow decline ... still a formidable defense, but there's chinks in the armor ... just sayin' there's a chance,.

During this period, they went from #16 vs the Pass ('11), to #4 ('12) and are currently at #7 ('13) ... but since when do the Saints worry about pass defenses that much?

I think the Saints are gonna' be able to run the ball ... if not 'with authority', certainly with some proficiency. :). Bet.

The 40-whiners are real good at beating teams like the Cardinals, Jaguars, and Rams.

If Brees hadn't thrown 2 pick-6es last year the Saints would have won that game.

34-17 Saints

I think we will see a lot more blitzes Sunday because of Megaminds(kaepernic) inability to throw the ball. Hopefully that leads to sacks and gets him neverous enough to throw a couple of picks.

I think his ability to run will keep us pretty honest when it comes to blitzing. I think we try to stop gore and the run game and make him beat us with his arm.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

Gentlemen, Many strong points in this thread.
Allow me to place in evidence the weapon most often discussed when a team plays in Seattle.

I could systematically review all the evidence with a strong lean toward the absence of the Mad Doctor Payton, last season, and his acquired sidekick, RrrrrRyan.

Payton unleashing some more of his gris-gris, bit by bit, sprinkle by sprinkle, planned pent-up Payton particular prescription for 49er Total Annihilation.

Mind you, this systematic plan will crescendo.
Keyword PLAN.
Planned wins, losses, never showing all the cards.
Deflecting attention.
Remember, the strongest card is status quo.

After all, the Doctor hears his first name all the time and is tired turning his head to acknowledge, only to discover it is the other NO favorite son...Peyton.

RrrrrRyan, a sidekick with no respect.
Defensive Einstein, look at the hair, RrrrRyan, another man guilty of too many men named Ryan.
A diabolical addition to Payton's recipe for Mayhem.

The unspoken weapon, the Seattle Strong man, the damn 13th Man.
That's right gentleman, US.
Yes, placing in evidence - US.
The Dome needs to perform and take back the title of 13th Man.

Men in Black.
Revenge.
Total Annihilation.
The recipe to begin where we left off...first at home against them.

The team which started our Go-to-dell death spiral outside the gates of bounty hell.

It starts with US.

I rest my case.

Don't doubt Kaepernick just yet. Its not like he has the best targets to throw to. His #1 receiver has been out all season. I'm hoping for a win. I'll leave it at that. Nothing is certain. Jets? Remember?

Oh yeah, buddy.... doubt him plenty. He can't read fast enough. Methinks he gets some new tattoos in the shape of FDL, a sort of "remember me shots"! They will try to run, and likely get some yards at first. But as we pull away, they will have to abandon their game plan. Last year we were sans SP, Drew threw 2 pick sixes, and still the game was merely a 10 point loss; it should have been worse. We have SP back and the pick sixes ain't happening this time around, and our D is much improved. I am ready for a FORTY burger.

All good points.
And yes, Remember the Jets!

Never forget your failures and learn from the experience.

49ers.
This is personal.

This the guy that took your sister out and then posted pictures of her servicing him in his car.

This is the girl you asked to prom and dumped you the night before.

This is making it to the playoffs and losing.

This is the last game your beloved coach coached before hell froze over.

Lol. I don't even count the loss from last year. That playoff loss though...I still feel like we beat our self. I feel the same about the Seahawks.

This is the problem and mistake commonly made with gimmicky qbs and schemes that come along every so often. Once in a while a player will come in with a unique skill set and coaches will concoct a scheme that plays to his strengths. It usually works for a couple years, but then one day a good D coordinator will come along and lay out a blue print on how to stop them. Problem is by this time they have already givin him a rediculous contract and built an offense around him that won't flourish in any other type offense. They are kicking themselves for letting smith go.

Kap is not a gimmick. He's just not elite. He's not Brees or Brady, but he deserves to start in this league. The problem and common mistake is that anybody who isn't elite or prototypical is a scrub to the spectators. Isn't his team 6-3? Didn't they almost win it all? They aren't winning in spite of him like the Ravens did with Dilfer. His problem is lack of receivers, and lack of touch. He throws the fastball everytime. His issues can be overcome. They just need to utilize his skill set the same way they did last year.

Which is why it is important to kick them now when they are down. We will more than likely have to play them at the dome (hopefully) again in the post season when he could have more weapons back.

There you go again, nobody said anything about him not deserving to be in the league,. You offer up basically the same set of excuses the frailcon fans come up with on here for Mattiocre Ice, except the 'not elite' part ... this faulty ass logic created by people who aren't even NFL quarterbacks is ridiculous,. The Dude nailed it with his assessment,.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

The only reason we didn't blow this team out is because of our stupid mistake. We gave them every single point they made. It could have been a shut out. The good news is mistakes can be corrected. And a big hats off to our offensive line who protected Drew and created some holes fairly well today.

Re: We are.gonna beat the brakes off of the Niners

It was pretty much an example of exactly how running QBs are a 'gimmick/novelty' in the NFL ... if they weren't, everyone would have one, ;).

Kaepernick basically came in at midseason last year and surprised everyone. We've seen it before ... once they get tape on ya', the honeymoon is over. Kaep's uncomfortable throwing off his back foot and in the pocket. Defenses figured out that by not letting him get to the outside and making him beat you with his arm was the way to go. 25yds rushing for the bicep-kisser ... that was the Saints template.

The argument that he's missing his #1 receiver is a cop-out, he's still got Boldin, Manningham & Vernon, all good receivers that deserve to be in the NFL and a better receiving corps than a lot of teams. The fact he can't hit his targets rests on his shoulders. In a strange way, I wonder if it's all part of Harbaugh's evil plan to make Kaep stay in the pocket and develop more as a drop-back passer, ... I wouldn't put it past him, but to lose games for it? IDK.
