Ignoring the fact that our O-line opened some holes, he was breaking tackles, accelerating and cutting better than I'd previously remembered.

I wonder if the transition from running behind an O-line in college that opened up mammoth holes to the NFL, where you rarely see mammoth holes, is partly to blame for some of his early struggles?

And I'm no O-line expert, but doesn't that blocking look more like the man-blocking schemes we've used in the past instead of the zone-blocking we started implementing this season?

They missed the best one. Late in the game he stuck out a full frontal stiff arm. He still went down but I've never seen a RB do that, it's always to the side. That stiff arm is his niche but his vision is not that great which is sad because he can in fact cut fairly well. I doubt that aspect improves much. You either have it or you don't at this point.
