NFL Network

Be advised: this is a rant.

The Saints are 8-2 and the recap of the Saints/Niners game focused primarily on San Fransisco. All season long the Saints highlights have registered a meager blip on that network.
What's the deal?
I want fair representation of the teams in the NFL. Especially the teams that are winning games.
I'm not wearing a tin foil hat but something stinks. Having Sanders and Irvin on that channel is bad enough but the lack of solid coverage on a good team is stupid.

Re: NFL Network

Since I don't watch their channel, I have no regrets. We won and that is all that matters.

The NFL has been servered again.

Deon Sanders and Michael Irvin make the channel unbearable to watch for me. I subscribe to it just for Thursday Night Football... that's it.

I think Irvin is stoned 1/2 the time

Thursday's game will be the first and last time I watch their network this year.

I won't watch it...

Really can't stand to see a game produced with those buffoons involved...

Primetime and the Playmaker give the show life. Lets not pretend they don't know the game. They're not like Stephen A. Smith when it comes to football.

You're full of it. They're exactly like First Take. Loud and overbearing.

Re: NFL Network

On a similar note has anyone had trouble getting the Saints highlight film clips to play on NFL.com?

I go to the highlights and the small black screen comes up saying video loading but nothing happens! :-(

Re: NFL Network

Sitting in B-Dubs watching Saints/Whiners, MIN/SEA, NYG/GB and whatever god-else they had on the 50-thousand screens throughout the place (volumes blaring so you couldn't understand any of 'em) made me think, once again, about getting NFL Network. It's the consistent, poor reviews I frequently see on here that save me that money. Gorging myself on chicken wings once/twice a week ain't that bad a deal,.

Thanks guys,.

Taking a neutral stance. The 49ers losing that game had a bigger impact on them than us winning did on us.

If we lose we are still #1 in the NFC South and fall to 7-3. The loss by the 49ers puts them very deep in the tie braking scenario. They still have to go to play Seattle, go to Tampa bay..

Given the Panthers play tonight... a loss would have had us tied with them...

Dont let who the networks bother you. Our performance and record speak for themselves.

Re: NFL Network

It's not just the Saints. Seattle is 10-1, the NFC #1 seed, clearly the team to beat, and they don't talk about them either.
It's better discussion to talk about the NFC East where everyone is fighting for the best spot at .500.

The same way the clowns give a circus life.

They're idiots. And that's being harsh to idiots.

I watched about 10 minutes this morning snd you can just smell the bitterness coming off the screen.

Sweetness from the ashes of yesteryear when we were the ones on the other side of these types of games. It's our time to bask in the goodness... greatness of our team.

The NFL has a network? I thought it was a green screen showing pond scum, fetid droppings and a picture of Tammy Fae Baker.

Re: NFL Network

Does it matter we dnt get coverage.. there's more than enough coverage in the chat and in the threads. We dnt need the media hyping us up we do a better job than them anyway.

Re: NFL Network

I actually like Sanders and Irvin. I don't always agree with them and their lack of coverage of the saints but they don't sugar coat anything either. I remember early in the season when everyone was giving Tom Brady a pass for chewing out his receivers as well as his poor body language, you had deon and michael speak up and say you can't have that type of behavior from your team leader.

For that alone, I usually give them the benefit of the doubt.

Re: NFL Network

The ANALysts on that network piss me off almost as much as BSPN does. Half of them are product of too many concussions, so they mumble through most of their segments. The other half are biased homers and never have anything positive to say except for the teams they used to play for. The only reason I even have NFLN is for Thursday Night Football, and the past few weeks have been just awful. When the Mr. and I go to Denver in December for the Chargers/Broncos game, I'm going to make an effort to find the TNF staff and tell them they all suck. (Except Marshall Faulk. I like him.)

I watch Thursday night football, besides that I don't watch it. They don't have anyone worth watching.

Deon Sanders and Michael Irvin know football but they are buffoons.
they have their favs so objectivity is not a strong suite of theirs.
both trams had bone head plays and both teams got calls going against them.
Ray Lewis tick me of the most and actually blamed Drew's height for the call.

For local people, Thursday nights game will also be on Fox 8 besides NFLN.
