Saints were lucky on the hit Brees took

We were fortunate that Brees wasn't seriously injured, but almost as important, the refs didn't make him get checked out for a possible concussion.

The Saints would have been in deep kim-che if that had happened.

I don't think it was close to a concussion as it was whiplash or sprang neck. At one point look like he was going to try and rib his head off.

If he would have hit him mid section full force I could see Brees hurt. That's why I don't get why he went up high. The ball was down. Not sure what he was thinking other than getting as close to illegal as humanly possible for a highlight.

It was the way he swung his arm like an axe that probably got everyone's attention.

I think it was a planned hit and wanted to put Brees out if the game. The Niners could see this one slipping away DNS they were going to do anything to get Drew off the field. I think the player should be fined, and suspended for atleast the next game. There is no reason to go for the head of Drew like he did and they can complain all day long that the call cost them the game, when this was only the game tying drive. The Niners got the ball back and because of a lack luster quarterback, they could not go on a game winning drive with 2 minutes left in the game and then did a bone head play on the punt by running into a free catch receiver. Niners go back and blame this loss on stupid plays your team made !!!!

He "got to work" already when he ordered the Superdome management to pull the plug on the electricity at the Dome during the Superbowl to give time for the Whiners to mount a failed comeback. Ratings were plummeting as the Whiners were getting destroyed. Roger gave his emphatic a-okay to the Dome management immediately after the game.

Brees was in Roger's face over Bountygate unfairness. Brees is also the players union rep. Roger will take a pass on this one.

The way the league is about head injuries, I could see the refs 'erring' on the side of caution and make the Saints sit Drew out for a play.

It would serve 2 purposes:

1. It would virtually guarantee the Saints would lose;

2. The league could claim they were putting player safety over the outcome of the game.

I think it was done on purpose with malace. He wanted to put him out was frustrated and tired of seeing his team get beat. I agree with ssvnewman By the way are u a valve guy working on SSV's?

Very fortunate and for all we know Drew may be hurt. If he is we won't know until the end of the season.
