In his 10th season, this may have been Greer's last as a Saint or in the NFL.
I wish him all the best and hope a fluke happens and it's less than it looks. Unfortunately, it looks like one of those multi-season or career ending injuries. All my best though.

My thoughts exactly when I saw it happen. "Theisman-like", and man that sucks. A great player, and by all accounts a good person and teammate. I hope I'm wrong.

I hope its not but if this is indeed a career ending injury, id just like to applaud greer on his time with us since 2009

Great character guy, fierce competitor, the first great corner we had in a long time, you were a huge reason for our SB win greer

It was obvious that San Fran was keying on Lewis and Greer was missed

Man I wanted White to gain the starting CB job over Greer, but not like this. Sorry for yelling at you once the patriots game ended the way it did. I looked at the film afterwards and the coverage was actually pretty good, just sometimes its impossible to beat people like Brady.

Oh Dear God! Why did I click on this thread? I watched it as it happened and nearly threw up. Then, FOX decided to replay the injury 30 times after that. Prayers for a speedy recovery, Greer!

Wow, so sorry to lose an amazing cornerback. He will be remembered for a very long time by this fan base. He made some incredible plays -- interceptions and really defended some exceptional, HOF, receivers.

Get well soon, Jabari!!! Really hope you make a full recovery and can come back to the game if you want to.

The article said he was in the locker room today -- so maybe not that bad?

Article also says we have signed Trevin Wade, 2nd year CB who played last year with Cleveland. At 5'10" he isn't going to be much help against MegaTron.

Get well Jabari. I dont know what they showed on tv, but in the Dome
he was waving to the crowd, and looked to be putting on a brave face.
It must be something really bad, and he knew it. It looked like he was saying
goodbye to the fans and thanking them. I like him as a player, and I love his
attitude, and I really hope this isnt the end.

Thats what i thought, i think he was putting on a brave face for his teammates also, but it did kinda feel like he was waving the crowd goodbye

Looked like a broken bone which I'd almost rather have than knee damage.

They did put an air cast on his leg so it may be broken bone. All I know is that it was ugly and looked painful.

I think the organization is keeping it as low key as possible because they know full-well Greer either will not return for some time or will never return to football. It was a freak accident with possible multiple dislocation, tendon tear, and possibly in multiple locations.

Coach Payton said what TheOak said above, but he also mentioned there would be more information on Tuesday (today).

Even today coach isn't going to give anything more then Greer is out, coach never gives injury info to the media

He's on IR. Glad it's just an ACL injury and something they're talking about operating on. Team isn't closing the door on Greer, so it may be something he can rehab from.

Victor Butler is off IR and on PUP and we have 21 days to practice him and see.
