Pierre Thomas Poised to Rewrite New Orleans Saints Record Books
"But Thomas, who ranks No. 5 all-time in Saints rushing touchdowns, is about to enter the top five in another category.
Thomas has quickly shot up the franchise leaders’ list this season, entering at No. 8 with 2,974 rushing yards. If he gains 22 yards against the Atlanta Falcons, he’ll pass Rueben Mayes for the No. 4 spot." Pierre Thomas Record |

Good for PT. Mayes' career ended too quickly though. He could have been far higher on the list.

Who's #1 Deuce .. Accomplishing this in a crowded backfield is a surprise. Wonder where Ricky williams is on the list.

As bad as the Falcons are against the run, PT should more than triple that 22 yards needed! :bng:

Re: Pierre Thomas Poised to Rewrite New Orleans Saints Record Books
Thomas has never been a feature back, so the numbers are impressive
I really can't remember him ever having 20+ carries in a game |

I'm just thinking about how he had to fight for that roster spot undrafted against a 4th round pick Antonio Freeman when he came out of Illinois. He's been fighting ever since.
