WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
We know this one is going to be tough. We play down to bad teams, and if we can play UP to Seattle and this hostile environment, we can do this.
The O-Line will have to protect Drew, and blast some holes for Ingram, so he can run free (at least until the first tackler touches him, then he falls down), and PT will just have to be PT, and Jimmy Graham can hopefully tilt their goal posts a few times, and our DEFENSE has to be ON FIRE. But if we lose this one, I can be ok I think. Just wanna slap Cam Newton silly... But I am getting ahead of myself. |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
I have a feeling we're gonna go up there and "shock the world" and beat them in their house, but I won't be surprised if we don't. Seattle is a very VERY good team they'll win going away if we don't show up and play well. I think we will show up and play well.
But saying we need to "blast some holes", and believe me we do need to do just that, and actually doing it against them, especially there, will not be easy. I watched them completely destroy the 49ers up there earlier in the season - it was the most dominating defensive performance I've seen in a long time, and San Francisco doesn't exactly suck. I don't think their QB is 'just' a game manager either. That kid can play. And we know about their run game. I really do believe this one will decide home field, assuming both teams take care of business with the games beyond this one. I'm looking forward to a great game and I think we're gonna pull it out. :bng: |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
Two of the top 3 or 4 teams in the NFL battling in the Northwest.
Regardless of the outcome, both teams will still be considered 2 of the top 3 or 4 teams in the NFL. Its a coin flip. |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
I've been kinda' looking forward to the game as the season progresses, but I dunno if I can put up with nine more days of the Seattle "flash mob", ... come on Dec 2nd already!

In fact, I'd rank them top 2 or 3 in opponents vistors knowledge of both their team and our Saints. They kinda surprised me. But then again I'm used to Falcon fans who know football about as much as I know about nuclear brain surgery. |

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
I don't make predictions. I just expect excellence and come down hard when I don't see it.
Getting in an opposing fan's face and proclaiming "We are gonna kick your a**es", is ridiculous fanboy BS. But if I wanted to get rich, I would bet AGAINST the Saints covering the "spread" in every outing! Alaska |

this is for the #1 ranking in the playoffs if and only if we take care of business the rest of the way. I am expecting serious hitting on both sides :lightsabres:

I'm not really sure what to think about Seattle, they almost lost to the Texans and Buccaneers but had miraculous OT comebacks. The Buccs were up 21-0 at one point. So if they have another slow start I think we can totally capitalize. Make Wilson throw and send Cam Jordan through that injured O-line. I think we win but Seattle catches up and gets close to winning but doesn't in the end.

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
Seattle's oline isnt as weak as a few weeks ago so I doubt us having success like STL but I do think if we can limit our mistakes we can do well. I'm nervous and excited all at once.

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
Either way we are going to go through the same challenge as we did in 09 to get back there. Nothing comes easy.

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
I think the Defense expecially cam jordan will come in clutch in this game

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
They have not played a team like the Saints, so far this year. Not even close. The Colts and the Texans, only teams remotely like us, and we have a better QB than both those teams, and probably a better defense than either of those two as well. They have not really been tested, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
This game is a riddle.
On one side its hard to see us winning in Seattle, but then again you see the fact that maybe Seattle has had an easy schedule. Seattle is beginning to remind me more and more of the Falcons, lets see if they can choke it up like the Falcons, afterall, TB hung with them in Seattle, for all we know, we could completely blow Seattle out of the water. But you want my opinion, some games are better to be lost, this one is probably one of those games, that way the potential to win the rematch is that much greater. Even if we did win, we swipe the #1 seed from Seattle, but how long would we keep it with our schedule? You have to hope Seattle drops 2-3 more games. |

We will win in Seattle

Seattle could conceivably go on the road and lose to San Fran on a short week. So if that were to happen, New Orleans could split with Carolina and win out and keep that #1 seed. Otherwise we would have to run the table all the way to 14-2. Seattle having to go play the Giants on the road could be for NFC East title implications. So don't sleep on that game just yet. Saints will take care of the Rams and Bucs and at the very least split with Carolina. So I see us going 3-1 down the stretch. |

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
We have lost two on the road outdoor cold weather games.
Anyone know what we are doing to prepare? Hope to be there in Seattle - have seen games there before - it is loud and seattle this time of year sucks! It ain't that bone chillin cold like Buffalo or Greenbay but a slow damp chill that kills ya! |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
Win in Seattle
The Saints have all the drive from the 2010 playoff games that we almost came back from The o-line has been playing better each week and the d line is jelling Hopefully we can keep russell wilson contained and not given much time to throw If Drew doesn't try to float one over here and there we should win the turnover ratio The 49er and even Falcons games were good tests I see Colston continuing to be a bigger factor |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
The Thurmond suspension has now swung the pendulum towards the Saints.
Can we take advantage of them being down 2 CBs? I would think so. |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
49ers beginning of the season were pretty terrible before turning it around a little bit, this is when Seattle got them.
Most believe that they should have lot to Houston, many of the games Seattle barely got by was a product of the other team going completely stupid near the end of the game, Houston, STL, and TB should of probably beat them, that is difference between 10-1 and 7-4. |

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
The Seahawks will not be "overconfident", they will not be undeterred from the Thurman suspension. The game will be won on the line of scrimmage. We bottle up Lynch and get some pressure on Wilson and are able to run the ball, like Tampa did against them, then we win. If not, we lose, simple as that.

Seattle Seahawks Football Clubhouse - ESPN And Tampon as they were going through their controversy. Their remaining schedule is harder thank you think... every bit as challenging as ours down the stretch. |
Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
Any team can beat any team each week. If the bucs, texans and rams almost did it why is it so hard to believe we just don't go in there and get the win? Trust me no one thinks the Saints really gave a chance. You go on the Seahawks forums and it's like "I know this will be a tough match but I think we win this". No one on their board is nervous that they will lose. Too me it's a plurality of over confidence and their team is not invincible. Take away their best weapon - Lynch - and we win it, and I think we do some damage.

Definitely doable.
Should be interesting to say the least. Might take the day off work an watch it. |

Or sleep less in Seattle.

Re: WIN IN SEATTLE? LOSE IN SEATTLE?
Turnovers are the key. If we win the turnover battle or stay even, we will win the game!
