Seahawks CB Walter Thurmond is facing a four-game suspension for violating NFL Policy for Substances of Abuse, as @RapSheet reported.

These defensive players on the sea chickens can't stay away from "substances" or PEDS

Yup. Is this the sixth or the seventh Seahawk player suspended for PED's? If they all got busted at the same time, there probably wouldn't be anybody left to line up and play.

Antoine Winfield was on our squad in training camp and had been expected to start. He was still effective with the Vikings last year. He was cut because he couldn't compete with the depth that the Seahawks had available. Now some of that depth is being called upon, so we are exploring our options. He's intimately familiar with our defense and scheme so it makes sense for us to call on him. I don't think the Hawks are expecting him to come in and start....they are calling him in hopes for more depth.

That makes more sense as to why they're pulling from the bullpen of available players. Having been with the squad before helps a ton.

Plus Browner was just dinged for PEDs again. Ouch.

Last season, Browner and Sherman were suspended four games for using Adderall, but Sherman's punishment was overturned on appeal. Since 2011, five Seahawks have been suspended for violating the substance abuse policy.

he's not a starter, but has 31 tackles as a nickel
he will appeal, but that should be settled before the MNF game

well he was the starter filling in for Browner over the next 4 games

now the Seattle CB depth has taken a huge hit

look for the Saints to attack through the air
