Seattle by 4

The opening line is Sea -4, or 4.5 in some books
The interesting number is the over/under, which is 46. That is high for any NFL game, but especially when considering two top 5 defenses are taking the field.

Seattle and NO are #2 & 3 in scoring, and the bookmakers obviously feel the offenses will outplay the D (which definitely happened last time)

Will be interesting to see where the late money goes, and if losing another DB lowers the line and raises the O/U

that sounds about right. holding both teams to the lower 20's is a solid defensive game

It is similar to the Kaepernick safety- it was a safety, but wasn't, but we know it was and wasn't called, so just give the one point

If we win.. upset of the year? Think we get hyped up by the media. I just hope drew doesn't slip up.

Seattle -6 right now. Vegas almost begging the public to take the Saints.

Lot of early money on Seattle. That would be the public. The big money wouldn't be out this early, but if the line goes any higher you can expect the wiseguys to jump in on the Saints early. Let's see where that smart money goes.

Seattle has the same surface in Qwest as the Saints have on their outdoor practice facility, Field Turf. They'll have a very good idea of what to wear after this week's practice.

If it stays at 6 (or even goes higher), I would definitely take the Saints and the points.

This game should be close imo.

No, no...no.... give the points. You're the mighty Seattle after all, the invicible ones. The Saints have absolutely NO CHANCE!

Despite your urging, I'm taking the Saints and the 6 points this week. :D

That is, if it stays at 6.

I don't think the line will be in play. The Saints will win or the Seahawks will cover.

I wouldn't touch this game with a ten foot pole for either side at -4

For the first time ever in American football, the dreaded rouge will be allowed (for those of you fortunate enough not to have wasted time watching the CFL, a rouge is a feel good point awarded to kickers for missing the uprights but still being able to kick the ball out the back of a 250 yard long end zone...)

The two big problems look to be slipping after the rain(or in it) or missed tackles ......which happens in cold weather. This is the biggest test of the year.

Re: Seattle by 4

It's football... It's meant to be played in nasty weather more than any other sport. After the first series no one is cold. The field is turf. And temp doesn't effect tackling.... They are all sweating.

As long as the temp is above freezing, its not as big a deal as the media makes it out to be. The big thing is wind and rain, get lots of both and we might be in trouble.
