I think they've sold too much of the farm and their offensive and defensive line are mere shadows of what they were in 2008. They're just not built for what they're trying to do on offense, and it will take more than 1 or 2 picks to get them going.

Besides, they have a way of trading tons of picks to move up for 1 guy. I have more faith in them giving it all away for a skills tight end who won't be as effective as Gonazales.

Amen. If anything, I want to see the legacy of Mike Smith continue for obvious reasons. Even if they say Smith returns, losing out doesn't help.

I don't really care what pick they get. As long as "4th and Inches" Smith is head coach, we have nothing to worry about. Only bad thing is, that whoever Atlanta picks, a good career will be ruined.

Good point, look what they did for Gonzalez and Jackson ... except I don't think Jackson's ever played on a team with a winning record, so in his case, they're just extending his own personal hell, :neutral:.

You never can tell, a guy like that never wants to quit the game, but the way he was talking about wanting to spend time with his family last year, unless they can truly guarantee him a SuperBowl ring (unlike this season), I gotta' think he's gone ... you know, "fool me once, shame on you ... fool me twice, Falcons suck", or something to that effect, :mrgreen:.
