Harvin Suffers Setback

Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Source: #Seahawks WR Percy Harvin's surgically repaired hip flared up again. He's seeing doctors today, but his status for MNF is in doubt.-Ian Rapaport
Anyone else heard anything about this? |
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Saints didn't expect Ware to play either in '09
|
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Doesn't matter. Saints have to beat the Seahawks as they are. Even if we win, there's no guarantee we're the 1st seed. We'll have to win out against some super tough competition. We could win and still be 2nd or 3rd seed.
|
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
or the 5th seed if we start slacking like we did in '09
|
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Sweet. We need any advantage that we can get.

Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Would rather the Hawks at full strength, even with this win it doesn't guarantee the Saints home field advantage .... guess BSPN forgot there is still FOUR more games to be played after this one

The Seahawks, by contrast, do not have a tough stretch to the playoffs. The Saints game is their biggest remaining opponent, although anything can happen any week. |
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Yep, as Halo states, we intentionally sat starters the last three games of the Super Bowl run.
In contrast, Seattle usually slides in with a losing record, so no changes there... I want Denver. Brees OWNS Manning under the big lights. Alaska |
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
I'm sure Sean and Rob is still game planning as if he were playing.

Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Hes listed as doubtful

Seattle also has the Rams and has to travel to NYG. Next week they are at SF in a short week, and they face the improved Cardinals |
Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
I think he's done for the year.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Percy Harvin suffered a setback with his hip injury and his status is "in doubt" for Monday Night Football. Advice: Harvin was held out of practice Thursday and Friday after his surgically-repaired hip "flared up." Coach Pete Carroll confirmed he's working through some continuing soreness from making his debut in Week 11 and isn't expected to play coming off the Seahawks bye. Harvin is officially listed as doubtful for Monday night's game and his status should be considered week to week. |

Won't believe it until kickoff and I see him on the sidelines wearing street clothes

Re: Harvin Suffers Setback
Seahawks fans are thinking that players get a Cort injection to play... That is not always the case. Cortisone is an anti-inflamatory and he may have some impingement due to inflammation. I have had them before and they do not all work the same, there is some hit and miss with the injections and sometimes they leave you in more pain after the local wears off than you were in before.

Are the Seahawks so desperate at WR they're willing to risk permanent or season ending injury to Harvin just for this game? I seriously doubt it. Again, all this could be decoy crap to mask other issues, but if Harvin got the shot, good luck to him. I got a cortisone shot 20 plus years ago allowing me to run on my knee. Had my knee been left alone, it would have healed correctly and I wouldn't still feel that injury now. Today my doctor still talks about the mistake my old doctor made all those years ago pumping me with cortisone because that knee acts up and still bothers me. |

Harvin got a shot on Sat, 2 days before the game... He is in pain and i am sure the changes in weather and pressure are having something to do with it. I can forecast changes in barometric pressure with my shoulders, I have tendonitis in both of them. Seahawks fans - 'if there is no structural damage he can play"... <-- really? LOL WTF. |
