2014 Mock Draft - Saints at 30

30. New Orleans Saints: Antonio Richardson, OT, Tennessee

Considered really going for broke with someone like Oregon RB DeAnthony Thomas here — he’d be the eventual replacement for Darren Sproles, who has one year left on his contract and has battled injuries in 2013. But the line, particularly in relation to RT Zach Strief, needs a boost. Richardson, though a tad raw, does his best work as a pass-blocker — no small note, given Drew Brees’ presence in New Orleans.

Lets do it! Can we get him on layaway?

What do you think the chances of us getting that Van Noy kid out of BYU are? I've seen him on some boards going as high as 16 while some have him in the 2nd round...would love to see that guy in the B&G

Would rather wait to the 3rd round And take Dri Archer. In the first I'd go Kyle Van Noy, Trent Murphy or Justin Gilbert who I really like.

No matter what position we draft in having all our picks is gonna be like Christmas.... CB, OL, OLB, RB there are the position we would need to address...

ILB and a Safety on D, our O really looks like it needs help more than our D

load up with OT that are big and quick and slide to OG with out skipping a beat looks to be a banner year for these type of tweeners. RG/OG. I am still hoping we drafted our starter in the third round last year at LOT. Dude needs to get on the field already.

Cyril Richardson, G/OT, Baylor is my wish. I still say keep him at RT and be skeptical of people who stereo type him because of his size to be an OG.lets see what he can do in the final few weeks and at the beauty shows
Then select another or two RT/OG types later on

Richardson sure projects like a OG. I'm not sure if we should take the chance though. If we are moving toward OG I think David Yankey out of Standford is a better prospect. But I have admit I haven't seen Richardson play much. I guess it's time to start doing some research. I love draft season. Especially after celebrating a SuperBowl win!

I agree with the sentiment of what the guy is saying. I watch a bit of college ball although I'm not typically a guy who sits around in a war room with a white board and a list of names all year long.

I mean yeah, like Danno said, always BPA in sorta that order. But some of those positions are just re-loads or more toys, and some of them are CRUCIAL needs, this year.

I believe the time is now to get it right, and REALLY solidify the O line that is going to be the unit that will keep Drew upright the rest of his days here. All options should be open, free agency and draft, although I don't want another Olin Kreutz Experiment. But we have to fix it and set it all up NOW, this coming year. Can't be a work in progress or ongoing tinkering. Remember when Payton said left tackle was keeping him awake at night, waaay back in the summer? We see the reason why now -- and that can't happen anymore. No more sleepless nights. They are getting older, and both Coach and Drew are getting to the age where they need their beauty sleep every night, to be pretty on game day.

I am 99% sure we will pick a CB in the first round. We need one bad
