How would you grade our draft?

I think this is our best draft in awhile, even though we didn't have a 2nd round pick. I think we got some quality players who are going to be Saints for awhile.

R.1 Kenny Vaccaro- Very aggressive, brings tempo to the team, all-around great football player
R.3 Terron Armstead- The Jury still out on Armstead, he could be the future LT, or just a solid backup
R. 3 John Jenkins- No doubt top 3 nose tackle in the draft, he has been key to the defense
R.5 Kenny Stills- Major steal, if the NFL drafted again he'd go in the late first round
R.6 Rufus Johnson- ehh, you don't get 'em all right, but he could still make a special teams impact in future years

But I tip my hat to the head office for scouting Rookie FA, they did an amazing job finding young talent in these guys finding a whopping 7 rookies to put on the roster. That is actually a lot considering the average is around 2

Ryan Griffin- Sean has plans for this guy
Rod Sweeting- Haven't seen this guy too much, looks as if he is being groomed
Kevin Reddick- Future starting LB, I guarantee it
Tim Lelito- He is getting better as the season progresses
Josh Hill- Needs to wash the butter off his hands, but is a decent blocker
Glenn Foster- Amazing we got this guy, I heard a lot of teams wanted him
Khiry Robinson- Chris Ivory 2.0, but less injury prone

I give the Saints an A+ for the job they did, I wonder who we would've got with that 2nd round pick though.

T.Armestead is the mystery of IMHO was an outstanding draft. He has been very quiet .I have not heard any good OR bad news about his progress?

If you do not hear anything about linemen its either because they didn't play or didn't screw up. Its a good thing.

Only in cannonball competitions. We dominate!

Best draft in years, easily the best since 06. I think Sweeting could end up being the steal of that bunch of UDFA's. Reminds me a lot of Tracy Porter.

The thing that still strikes me as so amazing about that draft, is look at where all those guys came from on the map. It's like Payton sat on the couch all year with his note pad, watching homegrown Texas/Arkansas/Oklahoma/Georgia football right in his area. It's pretty likely that every single one of those dudes would probably have been playing every week in Payton's local cable TV package, and he woulda seen Jenkins on CBS and ESPN. He could have even scouted Rufus, Terron and Vaccarro a couple of times in person, without even needing to get a hotel room. Interesting.

Stop stop stop...

You can't grade the draft until 3-4 years from now. You have to give these guys time to develop. I never think its fair to grade a draft after it happens. Its more or less a gay POWER RANKING.

I think you can to the extent of how many impact players you already have. Vaccaro, Jenkins, Stills have already been pretty big parts of the team even if everybody else busts.

I am still rooting for Rufus. He has the size for sure. A rush ILB.

Uncommon to get this amount of production from rookies. It's part luck and part awareness but I'm leaning more towards luck. We didn't hit a home run but it damn near hit the fence and got us to second is how I see it. If we make it the playoffs and win a game with their contributions we stole a base and got to third.
