Saints Challenge for Sunday

You get two specific pieces of advice to give, one to the defense and one to the offense.

Specific

Offense: To Drew and Sean, when passing into the endzone for a TD play keep away from Kuechly. Do not allow him to pull his endzone controversial plays to effect us.

Defense: Stay home and contain Newton. Force him to pass.

Off- drop this conservative crap and open it up

Def- make Cammie beat you with his arm. He runs, we are in trouble

Offense: Stop screwing around

Defense: Stop screwing around

OFFENSE: You look like a confused hairy legged Greek sailor tranny wannabe wearing a miniskirt on Bourbon street. STOP IT! I mean seriously, just STOP IT!!

DEFENSE: Somebody PLEASE teach Corey White how to catch and hold on to a football!!!

Offense: Less 3 and outs

Defense: More 3 and outs

Offense: Go for it on fourth down cause they will I'd given the chance.
Defense: Do your job!

Re: Saints Challenge for Sunday

Offense: Score TDs

Defense: Don't allow TDs

Jack Vegas 12-06-2013 12:56 PM

Re: Saints Challenge for Sunday

Offense: Figure out how to get some WR's open so the passing game is not so completely predictable.

Defense: In the second half, you contained Seattle to right around 120 yards and 7 points. Keep doing that. Take the halftime adjustments you made for Russell Wilson and apply them to Cam Newton.

Re: Saints Challenge for Sunday

Offense: Just take what's given and don't try to force anything

Defense: Don't let Cam and Smith get under your skin with their antics, masters at drawing the personal fouls

Re: Saints Challenge for Sunday

Coin flip: Someone kick Steve Smith in the throat, just because he's a douche.

Offense: As SF said, "STOP SCREWING UP"

Defense: As SF said, "STOP SCREWING UP"

Offense: Drew you have feet and legs... If you get in trouble..... Use them.
Defense: Roman, don't forget about that run in you had with Steve sissy... Embrace it....

I was going to post Websters definition of "Specific"... Then figured it would have been a waste of my font allocation from Halo.

Re: Saints Challenge for Sunday

Defense: Don't let sCam convert 3rd and longs by running the ball. We've got to keep him contained. Assignment football.

Offense: We have to play error free. It seems like when we screw up early with a huge mistake, we don't recover and play scared all game.
Consistent, focused, accurate. Don't get cute, don't get desperate.

This is the pat that I find a little baffling. I completely understand our offense being on the same page, team unity, brotherhood, etc... However we seldom have "a" player on offense having a bad game. They are all on step or all flailing.

D : Just contain Cam and make the tackle, he is a big boy.
O : Just play your game, not worried.

Defense: More pressure on Newton...........Oh yeah, CONTAIN, CONTAIN CONTAIN!!!

Offense: Do that thing you do that wins games

Offense- beat the $hit out of them. Defense do the same.

I'd actually like to blitz frequently. Newton isn't very good under pressure. Don't let him sit back in the pocket with time to throw or scramble.. That's when he can hurt you.

Cam Newton has faced five or more pass rushers on 42 percent of his dropbacks this season, the highest rate in the NFL.

But he’s handled that pressure very well during the Panthers eight-game winning streak. He’s completed 64 percent of his throws against it, with seven touchdowns, two interceptions and only eight sacks. His Total QBR against pass rushes of five or more was 11.1 in the first four games of the season, but 90.0 during the winning streak.

That said, I still don't think blitzing is a bad idea. I would still say it's probably harder to throw under a blitz than it is a normal 3/4 man rush.

Kind of a double edged sword, just like last week... Do you blitz and let him get outside the pocket and run or do you contain and try and make him beat you passing...

I say contain him in the pocket, play decent enough coverage for coverage sacks or bad throws.

Defense: Junior, play smarter. You took yourself out of too many plays

Offense: If I could find the offense I'd tell them a thing or two.

AlaskaSaints 12-06-2013 11:09 PM

Re: Saints Challenge for Sunday

Offense - commit to the run. Play Ingram, P.T. AND Robinson.
Defense - Since it works for everyone else, go to press, man-coverage.
If you can't beat them, join them. Put up a toll booth and make Cam PAY to run the football.

Blitz off the edge on delay and chase him down, lbs.'s play underneath. Hit him often to slow him down, make him throw underneath were we are waiting. Wear Newton out!!
