Honestly

If saints got to sb who would we want them to play

I think Manning needs to be humbled and to be shown that he got flat out beat last time.

But after what happened with Graham and seeing how Talib can't do that to the likes of Smith I would really like to see a Graham rematch with Talib so Graham can shut his critics up once and for all.

Texans

But of the realistic teams in the hunt, I'd prefer to play Indy, since they aren't used to playing in a stupid friggin blizzard either.

I don't want Denver or New England. Its practically a home field advantage for them. Although it would be nice to spank New England.

We would kill Andrew Luck. But the most interesting game would be the Broncos.

Hokie thinks our chances of getting to the SB this year are "slim" at best!

Going to be very tough for any dome team that gets to the SB this year. Still not sure how the game will pan out in what could be awful weather conditions!

Not sure if this was a good choice of venue, suppose only time will tell.

WHO DAT!!!!!!

I have to be honest. I used to really like Hokie. But lately he doesn't seem to know diddly squat about current happenings in the NFL. I recently heard him say that he didn't watch the Saints because he was duck hunting. Really? You are a Saints analysts for goodness sakes.

It doesn't matter because we aren't the same team outdoors when we're up north this time of year. We'd get our ass kicked by anybody in an outdoor freezing Super Bowl. I'm not being negative, just realistic.

Re: Honestly

Manning himself struggles in the cold. I certainly do not want to lose to Brady in the cold.

idk it seems the cold weather sb this year was fixed for the possibility of Brady. They wanted him to have an advantage I bet and to screw the giants with the curse.

WillSaints81 12-06-2013 05:28 PM

Re: Honestly

I'm in a heated discussion with pats fans on another forum on an argument of Manning and Brady. I really hope if we lose, its to Manning and not Brady. I want to beat Brady bad. Tired of the woulda coulda shouldas that we are always victims of. The colts have no Wayne and are horrible right now on offense, Dalton doesnt play well in December and bengals are not tested enough. KC also isnt capable of getting out of divisional. Only other team who has what it takes to get there is Pittsburgh who atm are on the outside looking in.

And he came on after a big LSU loss to discuss the Saints and LSU, and said he didn't watch the game, he only read what was in the paper.

Earlier tonight some caller said that one of our problems was that we didn't even try to keep Nicks and Bushrod. Hokie basically said he agreed. Thats so far off base its not even funny. Didn't even try? Wow!!! WTF is going on with that station?

I really like his personality, but he does no homework at all and it shows nearly every time he comments on the Saints and LSU.

Hell I'm a Bama fan and I probably know more about LSU than he does.

Really, idk about a superbowl, last year after a 7-9 season I said we would win the SB in 2 years, presuming that we got our feet under us this season (Which we have) after seeing our pass defense against Russel Wilson, who is supremely overrated, I think we need help from the draft to go all the way.

Danno 12-06-2013 05:46 PM

Re: Honestly

The playoffs are an entirely different animal. The last 10 years have shown us the best teams typically don't make it all the way.

We're as capable and as likely to win it all as any team that makes it to the playoffs.

Denver's defense is about as suspect as it gets. Give me Manning for the SB so we can hope he makes it to a third team in his career and we can beat him on a third team in a SB.

Yep, there is that Peyton Manning factor I continue to overlook.

That sentence structure was horrid, glad you made heads or tails of it. LOL

I had what I wanted to say clear in my head, it translated differently to my thumbs.

Please!

You obviously overlooked the part where he said "IF WE MAKE IT TO THE SUPERBOWL".

It was in the FIRST sentence in his post.

"If", I would love to silence the talking heads forever, give me Brady in the weather, I know we could beat them!! Cold weather would be welcome just to get there!!

Well then its probably best to give the division to Carolina because this division is cursed and Atlanta will bounce back next year and get the talking heads going again. Its an every other year thing for us.

Actually I wanted us to go to the AFC. Seattle is having a fluke year and will regress. Defenses do not dominate back to back years like this.

:confused:
I wouldn't like the Saints switching conferences at all. We've been through enough as fans. Switching would just be another way of saying to the Saints "You're not relevant enough to keep in the NFC."

Seattle is not having a fluke year. I detest the Seahawks but I know a good team when I see it. They're solid. I'm not sure what you mean about the defense.

1. Colts. We own them. Another win gets us the Peanuts and Beer concessions as well.
2. Manning. Would love to see if he storms off again.
3. Patriots. It's an honest, great game. Most every time.

IF we make it there I think we can beat any team inn the AFC. Most of the contenders dont have the defense to stop us like some of our NFC opponents do and with the way our D has been playing for the most part we can shut Manning down. Baltimore MIGHT scare me but thats about it, they dont have near the same D as they used to.

We are relevant enough, we just can't win the division every year. In the AFC every good team makes the playoffs. We could certainly dominate the AFC South and make multiple SBs than we could in the NFC where we always will have a big road game to overcome.

WillSaints81 12-07-2013 12:23 AM

Re: Honestly

Oh, regarding Seattle, they cannot have HFA every year it just doesnt happen. They have actually had an easier schedule this year, playing the awful AFC south to go along with their home games.

Next year Seattle has this
Road games
@Philadelphia
@Washington
@us likely
@San Diego
@Kansas City
@San Francisco
@St.Louis
@Arizona

I do not see another 5-1 in division(likely), or 4-1 outside of it(if they beat giants).

This is their make or break year. If they do not win, they will not be this high next year. For one injuries usually happen after a big year. I do not see the seahawks as the new cowboys of the 90s or 49ers. No one dominates yearly in the NFL anymore(except the weak AFC).
