Kenny Stills thinks Richard Sherman shouldn’t have been fined
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman gave rookie wide receiver Kenny Stills a late hit on their Monday night match up. Sherman gave Stills a late shove in the back of the end zone on an incomplete pass.
According to Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Sherman was fined $7,875 for that hit. Stills isn’t so sure that the play, which did result in an unnecessary roughness penalty, deserved a fine. Though a fine that is less than $8,000 is less than some fines we’ve seen the NFL dish out. “I don’t think it deserves a fine,” Stills said. “We had just been talking trash to one another, and I guess he saw an opportunity to take a shot. It’s football. You’re going to get hit. . . . I didn’t take any offense to it. I think it’s funny.” Stills will have a tough game on Sunday against a Carolina Panther secondary that plays with a chip on their shoulder. After playing against the Seahawks secondary he might be prepared for what they have to throw at him. Kenny needs to work on attacking the ball like Andre Johnson. He just waits for it and catches the football with his body. Our receivers are struggling to catch the football this year.
