Yeah. I mean, you can't lose faith we'll never win a road game again. We won road games this year, and lost on last plays to the Pats. Jets game sucked much like the Seahawks game, but if you don't think we'll win on the road then the season is pretty much over. I have faith we'll figure it out. I also have faith that much like tonight, when the chips are down and the Saints are super challenged, I believe Sean Payton and Brees and company will take that challenge on head on.

I believe we coasted along much of this season racking up some decent W's. We were itching for the beating we took in Seattle. We got creamed, but that's past us now. Considering Dome, warm weather and indoor teams were leading at many points or won today in harsh weather - yeah, it's the NFL, all things are possible.

Not too mention, Drew has been pretty spot on in post-season games. If you look at our play-off losses since '06 they have all been defensive melt-downs late game, I think we have that fixed with Ryan as DC.

Yeah, caddieman doubled down on betting the Saints won't win the division. I wonder if Caddie went for it on 4th down?? Because Mike Smith did today.... lol

Why all the hate against a fellow Saints fan? A lot of things were said from a lot of people in the wake of the Seattle whipping. I don't see why Nola54 is being called out?

They should win every game they play like that. I am glad they didn't waste trying to establish a run game against the caliber D Carolina has up front. Attack the weaknest and fuel the strengths, don't let Cam run free, excellent game plan.

Why do people complain about not running the ball enough and being "out of balance" when:

1) you win in a lop-sided victory
2) you're playing a team that does well against the run
3) you're playing a team that's vulnerable against the 8-12 yard passes

That's why coaches GAMEPLAN. I don't give a crap about running the ball if we're throwing the ball down their throats and winning the game.

What happens if Carolina wins at their place and you both tie?

They have to win out and we have to lose 2 of 3 for them to win the division

I would congratulate you on winning your division but that will depend on your tackles ability to block Quinn and Long next week. Brees gets time, Saints win. Brees takes a beating, well then you will have to win in Carolina. I definitely like your chances...

That's what everyone said about Carolina, "best front 7" in football... It just so happens that we are in a Dome next week as well :bng:

There is no question the Saints are the better team but the Rams are bi-polar. I never would have thought they would have beat the Sh*t out of the Colts either. With the Rams, it all starts with their bookends, shut them down and the Saints win in a blowout, allow them to wreak havoc and you could be in for a long afternoon.

49ers had to win that game and they played as well as they could play and won by 2 points at home. There is no shame in that loss.

It doesn't matter. The NFL handed you the last 3 games anyway. So Seattle will host it's first NFC Championship game since how long ago?

2006. You mean the refs handed us the games or the NFL schedule?

You get kudos for not pulling a Sherman and blaming the refs. While there is no shame in the outcome more Seahawks fans than not predicted a blow out.

At the Giants, and then Cardinals, Rams at home... Does it get much easier; I think not...

Well if the seedings remain the same they may be playing San Fran in the divisional round.

Probably the one team Seattle does not want to play.

And if San Fran won, the Saints could host the NFCCG in the Superdome.

Falcons, Texans, Vikings would be easier.

Kind of hard to do...

Quote:

Sherman might point to the penalties as the margin, but the Seahawks' defense had a chance to close out the road win. However, it allowed a 51-yard run by Frank Gore on third-and-1, leading to the game-winning field goal.

There was no penalty on that play.

I didn't. I am sure the win over the Saints got their attention and a lob sided win probably didn't help the Seahawks. Perhaps getting blown out helped the Saints (The Irony), they looked pissed and crisp, total domination.. We have to win two out of three and you guys will probably get the number 2 seed. Your team played with heart after a tough week and showed themselves to be a championship contender IMHO.

Honestly I don't know where they found the crispness. Pounded at the Clink on Monday, broken jet delayed the flight home, short week....

Not a recipe for crispness.

Just as odd as how flat they were on Mon night

You might appreciate this. The biggest win in Seahawks history was a game they played in the divisional round against the Miami Dolphins. Their plane touched down in Dallas and then broke down. They were unable to charter a plane for 15 hours and ended up landing in Miami at 6:00 am the day of the game. The Seahawks won the game 27-20. I don't care if the Hawks win the super bowl this year that to me was truly the most amazing win in our franchises history.

One other thing, you might be the fortunate ones to get the number 2 seed. Good chance you will only have to face either Niners or us, we may have to face The Saints and 49ers..

TheOak 12-09-2013 03:57 PM

Here is another note able oddity.

The week playing Seattle losing opponents are 2-8-1 and average scoring 17 points. We managed to shed the loss better than the rest.

So much happens and changes after week 17, week 19 is anyone's guess.

home games, momentum, great defense regardless of what a naysayer might think, one of the best offenses...

they could win any game they play on any given sunday against any team, but there are no guarantees. those other teams have men on their rosters too.

win out, is very much in our favor... regardless of the home games.

Trent had the best perspective for the Saints' performance in Seattle.

Can anyone please show me where I said we were gonna lose out?
I said we could lose out. And that is highly likely if we play like we did against Seattle. If we play like we did last night though I think we beat anyone. Just depends on what team shows up.

Oh and Carolina absolutely wa the number one defense in several stats. Credit our offense and specifically our oline for getting it done in spite of that. You can hate on Carolina defense all you want but if you do you are taking credit away from our offense. They didn't lose because of stupid mistakes or because of a poor defense. They just got manhandled last night.

Most importantly you started a thread to say nothing but there is a less than reasonable chance we could lose out?

Did you just call someone else hysterical? For reals?

Your negativity runs rampant, you wouldn't have started a thread if you didn't think it would happen...

With you, finding "something" not to like posted is rather easy to find...
