Took a week off
 

After the Seattle game I was so ****** that I didn't watch any video of the game, didn't look at NFL Network or watch any football for a week. I also didn't read any forums or do any GIFs. It was kind of nice. I get so caught up in the season that sometimes I need to be reminded that it's supposed to be fun.

I need to remember this the next time I start screaming at the TV or something similarly dumb. I'm going to try to learn to not take the losses so hard while still enjoying the wins just as much.

i slept that evening and woke up the next day, as loyal a fan as ever.

I did the same thing. Refused to read or listen to anything about the game. No use reliving the misery especially since I knew we would recover and live to play more great games.

Last week spent as much time away from the talking heads as possible, Sunday I didn't watch any pregame garbage on NFLN or Fox and it was one of the best Sunday's I've had in a long time, I felt so refreshed come kick off

I'm a lifer man, been there since day one. This game was tough to take. I was expecting an epic battle which honestly I didn't expect to win. Getting spanked like that in prime time was rough.

Seahawks game didn't bother me all that much. We just didn't show up that night and sometimes that happens.


The one that made me want to drink heavily was the Patriots game. That thing STILL gives me heartburn. We got screwed in that game.

We don't forget the loss to the Seahawks or the Jets because it reminds us of how poorly this team can play and how much it hurts when they don't show up.

I talk a lot of smack at work about how good the Saints are and when they lose I won't hear they end of it till the following Sunday. But just shrugging your shoulders and pretending you don't care helps a bunch.

I'm going to have to disagree with you Boutte. I don't agree that bad calls by the refs don't tip a game. This is a game of inches and 1 point wins a game. Blowouts are few and far between ( generally speaking ). Even the refs say they blow it sometimes. Why shouldn't we agree? Hey, if we screw ourselves OK -- but if a game is close and we get bad call after bad call -- I have a right to *****.
