What I believe our team has learned
 

5 NFC games just under 4 weeks.

4-1 record and only one game were we not in complete control.

I think this team learned from the loss in Seattle that they can be just as aggressive at the point of attack and win those types of games.

My faith in this team is stronger than ever.

loyalty never waivers.

that is why they call it loyalty.

fierce. never ending. life long, though thick or thin.

it is way more than faith.

it is a mantra. it is a life path.

Blind loyalty involves being loyal to a person or cause despite the damage the person or cause does to himself or herself or others.
Excusing bad behaviour in the name of protecting allegiance to another seems honourable at first, but is ultimately dangerous as silence is a form of collusion. Many people feel torn between retaining loyalty to a cause or group and risking rejection or ostracisim or personal attack by outing misconduct. Blind loyalty involves a form of cognitive dissonance where a person sees evidence of a problem or bad behaviour and then turns a blind eye to the truth in favour of keeping a positive image of the person or cause. Knowing in your gut that something is wrong, and yet acting as if everything is fine. The classic example is a battered woman who protects her partner when police arrive in answer to a domestic violence call. Think of priests covering for sexual abuse among their colleagues, mothers denying incest in favour of protecting their husbands, and teachers turning a blind eye to abusive conduct by their peers to comprehend that "Loyalty is only a virtue if the person or cause is good".

I agree. And, as much as I might want to see a variety of changes on this team, from play calling to player execution --- AND -- I will certainly voice those concerns without reservation -- for better and unfortunately worse -- the Saints happen to be my team. I enjoy watching football -- but I am not invested in the season or playoff hopes of any other team -- unless it helps my team.

Can I be a loyal fan -- and still question this team's performance and decision making? In my mind, absolutely yes. Strangely though, this seems to be a question at issue on this board.
