Another record may fall this weekend: Something to digest

"Most yards allowed through 13 games - NFL History
2012 Saints 5,680
2013 Cowboys 5,549
1981 Colts 5,493"
Just saw this on Triplett's twitter account...think the Cowgirls miss Robby Ryan yet?

Haven't they played 13 games already? So you must mean 14 games for this weekend?

Yes, this week upcoming will be 14 games...Not sure what it's at now...just saw it on Triplett's twitter and thought it was pretty sweet that the girls throw Ryan under the bus and then they fall to sh*t, meanwhile we hire him and he's done what everyone deemed unthinkable.
They haemorrhaged yards to the Bears on monday night, I'm sure they're on pace to set the new record, hahaha.

Yes, and we did well to pick him up when it didn't work out. I remember reading an article about how Ryan would be 1 and done in NO cause he and Payton would be like oil and water.

Exactly what I was about to say.. The numbers are irrelevant to game 14.

No way is our record for 14 games broken..

After our 13th game we had allowed 5,680
On our 14th game against the Giants we had allowed 394 yards.
The 13 game delta between the Cowboys and the Saints is 131 yards

In order for Dallas to take the 14 game record their defense would have to allow the Packers to put up 525 yards on defense.

Rivers, Manning, Brees and Stafford could do it and have done it this season... but Matt Flynn?

Anyone see Matt Flynn putting up 350 yards and Eddie Lacey rushing for 175 yards? I can slide the scale the other way if you like, Matt Flynn 300 and Eddie Lacey 225 yards?

I sadly have to agree with this. If rodgers was playing then I would say this is very possible however with flynn.....not so much. The only game left where I see dallas giving up a lot of yards would be against philly. Although, they had foles number the last time they played.

I fear our record is safe for now

Hey, didn't Flynn throw for like 500 yards against Detroit? He's due for another one haha.

If you add his yardage from Detroit, Denver, and Minnesota he still didn't throw for 500 yards.

No two games this year have added up to 500 yards for Matt Flynn

In 2012 Flynn threw for 480 yards and 6 TD's, that was the game I was referencing

I can't remember who said it, but someone said 'Flynn isn't a starting QB, he played 1 good game and got rich from it'

The way the NFL keeps skewing the game toward offense (and basically not allowing the defense to do ... well, anything), this is a record that could change yearly.
