Apparently, good free-agent kickers are as real as elves, gnomes and fairy dust. There is no doubt that we need a new kicker though.

I bet we don't see Hartly in another Saints game, maybe not even in a Saints uniform. I think he's toast. Especially after that record breaking shank he pulled in the 4th quarter. If Sean Payton puts Hartley back in on Sunday against the Panthers, I will start questioning Seans decision making.

But its kinda tough to replace a K this late in the season. sHartley has a good leg but its obvious he's a head case.

That's not my job. Plus, I don't keep up with players as close as some of you guys do. So my decision would be terribly uninformed. I was just saying that, in my opinion, the people who make those kind of decisions will decide that he is a liability and will not play against the Panthers. I'm probably wrong. Just a hunch. Does Sean keep him in the lineup? I don't know. Does he wait until be costs us a playoff game? I hope not. IIRC Hartley missed a field goal a couple of years ago,early in the season, against Atlanta that eventually cost us home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Instead we went to Seattle. We all know how that turned out. I have defended Hartley as much, if not more than anybody on this site. I can't do it anymore. I've said it numerous times since yesterday, that second field goal attempt was a world record shank. That ball was NOT tipped or blocked. What you saw yesterday was all Hartley. There is no way to defend that.

Hartley is the new jason david. Blame Hartley if you want but he doesnt protect Brees' blind side.
