O-line stinks thats all i have to say..and it don't help that duece is no where near 100%

Defense..Defense..
Why venturi insists on sitting back and rushing four and putting all the pressure on our secondary.. Especially in this game when our best pass rusher was faced against an animal. Look what happened when collins was pressured. INTERCEPTION.
You can not give any NFL QB that much time to throw the ball and get into a rhythm.
And get them guys some new cleats please..

The problem is when Venturi does bring pressure it\'s typically at the most predictable time. In yesterday\'s game, on one play Venturi blitzed a couple of guys up the middle and Oakland had called a screen which went for a big gain. Were they just lucky? No. On that play the OC (or whoever was calling plays) knew that Venturi was going to blitz. Venturi is outmanned against nearly every play caller in the NFL.

I agree that the offensive lines has its issues. But I also contend that the offense can simply benefit from some degree of deception. Week after week the offense lines up on 1st down in the power or offset I and hand Deuce the ball. Frankly I was pissed after the first two plays of the Oakland game.

They\'re not a great line. But if you add some scheme so that the defense has to think, just a little bit, you\'ll see the run game get a whole lot better instantly.

Definite cosign. Venturi allows the opposing offense to dictate. It\'s a real shame.

Bring the house. Bring it from everywhere. Wreak havoc, cause confusion, bring 7, bring safeties, bring CBs off the edge, DO SOMETHING!! PLEASE!!

when we were not getting good pressure zook improvised and blitz two in the same hole, stacked them up and sent them... ventuir boring blitz, predictable... sucks

I agree totally !!!! WHY Venturi lets QB`s sit back there with no pressure and pick our defense off is beyond me.

And someone needs to tell mr. predictable (Venturi), that a blitz doesn`t have to be up the middle... you can send some side pressure every now and then.

I`m sick of Venturi.... I`m ready to send him packing. I gaurantee that over half the people on this board could be more effective than Venturi.

Exactly. After our great 2000 season and then 2001 we had 3 guys that got turned into superstars using a different blitz scheme (Zook\'s). I only regret losing one: La\'roi Glover. Johnson was a bust for GB and Clemons proved his 13 sacks were an aberration and was gone. Our guys now have way more talent and should be able to throw off anyone\'s timing with the best of them.

I guess it\'s just a matter of getting a more aggresive D-coach in there. Venturi just can\'t. I was angry we kept him after last season.

the offense is really good..we can put em up against anybody...but..will benson actually get rid of venturi?...i wish..i have been saying that for years...bottom line...it doesn\'t matter who we get ..in the draft..or trades..or whatever..we will be an unproductive defense as long as rick venturi is involved in this defense in any facet...total reorganization of the coaching is the only way to get this team turned around..all the \'\'young talent \'\' is bieng tainted by the coaching of venturi...so..really..it doesn\'t matter who we get in the future..if he\'s our man..we will fail
