No Fight in Our Dog
It seems that it only takes one bad play early to derail the Saints mentally. I watched (because it was all I had) the GB @ Dallas game, and I was struck by the effort and singular will to win no matter how desperate the situation. In the bitter cold, at Dallas, and down by 24, even down by 12 with 5 minutes to go.
We have yet to exhibit that kind of toughness at any point this season. If we make the playoffs, if, IF, then we should not be surprised by a quick exit at the hands of the slightest of motivated opponent. |

Ain't no shame in our game....

Re: No Fight in Our Dog
Xan is right. Everyone here knows it. We played well in Chicago. And, we were tough against SF. Other than that -- have not played at play-off caliber level. And, that means, the odds of a one and done where ever we are seeded are very high. No shame -- just disappointing not being real SB contenders.
But, hey, who knows, maybe we'll do a gut check this week and sock the Panthers in the mouth again. I'd believe that too. |
Re: No Fight in Our Dog
Effort wasn't the problem. Execution was the problem.
