Rocky III
The Saints remind me of Rocky III; Stallone gets to stylin on his new success and then along comes a mean, bad SOB who smacks him in the mouth, offers to satisfy his woman, and punks his mentor...
On the radio today, I kept hearing over and over "the Saints are soft"... Mick tried to tell Rocky, but it was too late... We need an Apollo Creed to come in and get that "eye of the tiger" back for the Saints... But with big soft characters like Charles Brown, Zach Strief, Roman Harper, Curtis Lofton, Malcom Jenkins, Ben Grubbs, Garret Hartley, Brian de la Puente, Lance Moore, and soon to add Jimmy Graham - I'm not liking where this thing is heading... |

We could get Dombrowski, Brenner, Tommy Myers, Rickey Jackson, Pat Swilling, Vaughan Johnson, Eric Martin to come in and have a 'Come To Jesus' meeting, but then we would have people complaining that the Saints are professionals and shouldn't need it!

I thought the "back to basics" was pretty much Rocky 2-6
He went back to basics in Russia, then with Creed, then took the young pup back to basics... Etc... All but 1 were about not forgetting where you came from and how you got there. |
