All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
I think it time, after 47 years, to have an all-time worst team, by position. We should start by determining what the criteria are for such a distinction, and whether we should have just 22 or a full roster.
No doubt that this will be an involved and heated debate. As we have had so little to be proud of for so long, and since having turned the corner, we can, with dignity, and some sense of humility, offer these sacrifices to the Gods of the Football Bounce. I offer these preliminary criteria:
Once nominations are complete, we will have a poll, by position. Ladies and Gentlemen, let the hating begin.... |
Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
Really... are we going to discuss that? Can't we save it for the offseason?
I'm not going to comment further. On a unrelated note... This Year’s #1 Christmas Gift... Get Yours Today While Supplies Last. The Official White House Barack Obama Chia Pet Scan Amazon... They actually exist. http://sflchronicle.com/wp-content/u...ma-300x294.jpg |
Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
I can' t possibly think about this right now. Off season. Kick back with a forum full of regular die-hards and a couple of cold beers. Love the idea. Maybe August. But now?

Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
Clearly you both have better things to do than amuse yourselves during the interminable wait between games. I guess we should have another Hartley or left tackle thread? Maybe another MI sucks forum post?

Worse players of all time are from the 1970s.
I forget their names and don't want to remember. The pic below describes exactly how I feel about the whole matter. http://i42.tinypic.com/2ah6qo5.jpg |

Russell Erxleban for Consistent On-field Blunders. He can be reached at the nearest federal prison to accept his award!

Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
Larry Burton -WR Couldn't catch a cold.
Rick Middleton LB- Couldn't tackle Garrett Hartley if he had too. (We took him instead of his college team mate Randy Gradishar.) Johnny Po CB -Became a decent CB. Eventually. Jerry Sturm erroneously reported to be an OT. Russel Erxlaben -Possibly the worst draft pick in the history of football. Larry Hardy TE -Couldn't catch, couldn't block, the best thing about him was he was always injured. Bobby Scott QB -Sat on the bench for ten years. When he finally got a chance to play he couldn't get the ball past the line of scrimmage. (Honorable mention - the Bobby Joes.) Jonathan Sullivan. Tom Dempsy K -If it wasn't 50 yds or more he couldn't hit it. Gary Cuozzo QB - Not really a bad QB but if we hadn't traded the #1 overall pick for him we could have drafted HoFer Bubba Smith. Our other DE that Year was HoFer Doug Atkins. |
Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
Gary Cuozzo? How about their First Draft choice ever, Les Kelley?
|
Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
Yeah that was bad too.
|
Re: All-Worst Saints Team Nomination Committee
We talk about holding our breath when Hartley went up to kick, but what about Chip Lohmiller, he had like a 50% success rate.
