Are we tough enough?

Lots of talk about us playing on the road.Outdoor,weather,etc... What it boils down to is are we tough enough. We got roughed up. Are we tough enough?

We didn't get roughed up; we simply failed to make adjustments.

I guarantee you that if we had caught the with a screen or two for big yards, that would have slowed them down.

The Rams weren't playing for anything but pride, plus Fischer was butt hurt that Ryan bailed on them for the Saints.

The kittens will try to be aggressive, but if the Saints get up 7-10 points, they will curl up in the corner and purr like the good *****cats they are!

Looks like the weather will be rainy and windy.

Which should favor the Saints! We should see a lot of runs and short passes.

They have the better run game then we do, I don't see that as a favor to us... We have the better screen game, but we have to keep Cam contained like the first game.

Good post Triman. You're right, the team that has the ***s will be the winner. If both teams come and plays balls to the wall it's a tossup.

The climate in Charlotte overall is about the exact same climate we have here. That crowd isn't much of a factor because most of the Charlotte population are transplants and fans of other teams. A few have adopted the Panthers as their second team, but will shut up if we get ahead early.

Jets, Seahawks, Rams. They all roughed us up.

And the screens? They looked predictable and easy to cover.

Our lack of preparation for STL is what killed us, NOT how the Rams played.

This team still needs to overcome playing good teams on the road.

Feeling strong win or lose. The Saints that show up tomorrow will be the real McCoy. If the Panthers think they are going to be able to push us around they are going to find out early Payton has put the issue at the apex of things that had to be dealt with. It's going to be a good game folks, no doubt about it. This is for all the marbles.

It will be a good barometer for us heading into the playoffs.
In my opinion for this game our Coaching staff beats theirs!

I agree we will find out on Sunday but I do think we don't have a emotional leader on defense which we had with Vilma.

I disagree; you might have missed Lofton and Jordan on the sidelines getting "emotional" with the defense during the Rams game

Tomorrow we are going to see some real junk yard dog fighting going on, not just with us either. There are 3-4 games I really want to watch for the first time this season.

Re: Are we tough enough?

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be here. But, I'm going to cut you some slack, just because, there is no question that we could lose tomorrow.

But, are we tough enough, in general? Um, yeah.

Re: Are we tough enough?

I've been asking that same question of toughness. Whether it is mental or physical. They have a lot to prove on Sunday.

Re: Are we tough enough?

Look, the Panthers have beaten these "SCARY" opponents this year: Vikings, Bucs, Falcons, Rams, Dolphins, 49ers, Pats & Jets. The last 3 are the only ones who really count. They played the Pats & Jets at home. They did play the 49ers at their house and won. Good job. We beat the Bears at their house.

If we had had that schedule, especially the Pats and Jets at home -- we would be looking MUCH better than we do.

I think we are better than the Panthers. We shall see tomorrow.

Re: Are we tough enough?

Sharper was saying today that whenever the Saints got on a plane there was always a bad feeling or something to that effect. Maybe somebody should tell him that the home team wins almost 60% of the time in the NFL. It's not just the Saints.

Re: Are we tough enough?

I am tough enough. Oh you mean the Saints.
Of course they are tough enough. We lost at Jets because the corner back got into Graham. We lost to the Rams because we lacked composure at the start and gave the ball away.

Re: Are we tough enough?

Apparently not. Payton blew this along with Brees and the OLine. (Among others) I'm not even that upset. I expected this.
