I know... Some of these threads might look pathetic.
But you DID see today’s game right?
With what is at stake, our Saints looked pathetic,
so it’s totally natural for any REAL fan to be disgusted.
I am a fan for life, and I’ve seen the best of the best,
as well as the really bad. Today was bad.

I am not blaming anyone in particular for this loss.
The SAINTS lost this one.
But I would not blame any fan for being disappointed.

And I know that on “any given Sunday”,
anything can happen. I am over what happened in Seattle,
I was just getting over what happened in St. Louis,
and I will get over what I witnessed today.
But it’s understandable to feel like total sh*t today,
and expect more from my team.

That’s all I got. LOVE you guys. WHODAT!

Win and in, playing a division team with the #2 seed, 1st round + division title on the line.

Players have to talk Payton into practicing outdoors.

Payton shows a Power point on the importance of the #2 seed and then he calls screens like they are going out of style and not a damn one has come close to working, not counting the reverses!

Defense holds Carolina to zero 3rd down conversions and then they quit pressuring scam in the last 62 seconds with the game on the line.

Teams that win in Dec/Jan/Feb don't have the issues we have. Most Offensive lines are stable, Special teams departments are consistent (i.e. kicking game), and most have relative few questions with regards to offenses and defenses. In my opinion, we lack in most/some of these areas, and should look at our season for what it is…..a new defensive look, a coach back from hiatus. Can we win the hole enchilada? Sure, everything is still up for grabs, but if we don't, I myself am looking at the glass half full..a better defense, our coach is back, still a potent offense that will no-doubt undergo some major changes next year and we'll be better next season. I remember a while back, i'd give my left testicle for a 10-5 record and a crack at the playoffs.

Yeah, I saw this coming too. I felt guilty for not expecting a better showing but I lost faith in this team before halftime of the Rams game. Sadly I was right.

Another silver lining is that we don't have to cringe on field goals and extra points anymore... Looks like we finally got a decent kicker
