Sean Payton outsmarts himself on left tackle decision | ProFootballTalk

In case you don't know this writer for ProFootballTalk, Darin Gnat is a former beat writer for the Panthers and he misreads the situation his article...

Guess Profootballtalk is dumbing it down by hiring someone who know absolutely nothing about football…maybe repaying favors for previous source confirmations?!?

In fact, he acknowledges same within his own article that the previous left tackle (Brown) was as bad in previous weeks as the rookie (Armstead) was yesterday…

Brown has been awful all season, hitting rock bottom last week, and Payton had to assess if the draft pick of Armstead was capable or not…

The mistake Payton made was going into the season with only Charles Brown, Rookie Terron Armstead as the Left Tackles…

Correct Analysis also points that Payton shows loyalty to his players to a fault, a recurring trend…

But this writer, a former Panther groupie, obviously chose to take a shot at a coach who is not interested in giving him the time of day…

Come on Florio, ya’ll can do better than this…

The real issue is that the Condon/Brees contract as well as other bad contracts by Loomis has crippled the Saints ability to retain quality players (i.e. Nicks, Goodwin); Brees is not an MVP quarterback, nor should he have been paid like one…

Brees is the epitome of a system quarterback, an excellent one, but he and his agent’s money grab has resulted in what we saw yesterday…

Jimmy Graham will need to be assigned the franchise tag which will be made possible with the overdue releases of Will Smith, Roman Harper…

Graham will be gone if Brees, Grubbs, Colson fail to show they’re the team players they claim they are and take cap friendly contracts that allow retaining and/or signing quality free agents…

The results yesterday were because of poor salary cap planning, not because a coach was facing an obvious move to find out if the tackle on his bench was any better than what had been awful all season…

PFT writers are Panthers brown nosers. Always have been and always will be.

some of us we screaming about the oL for over a year.

i went into this season in fear for Drew

He has taken the worst beaten this year than any other.

But i have to stand up and say we have survived much better than i thought

now do something in 2014 and protect our 100 million dollar man.

as for the article i wish it was in print form because i ran out of TP and do not feel like running to the store
