Why the Saints are still the team to beat....

BEST NEW YEARS WISHES FOR THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS!

#2 - NFL Passing Yards 4781 - Drew Brees
#4 - NFL Sack Leader 12.5 - Cameron Jordan

#4 - NFL Total Defense
#5 - NFL Total Offense

Sounds like we have more than a great chance against anyone.

If I was any team, I hate to have us on the schedule no matter what our record has been in the past 4 weeks. Sean Payton is a formidable foe and certainly learned a few things after a few losses. With our playoff experience, it could easily be argued that we are still the team to beat in the NFC.

I agree with you 99.9%, but that .01% team that shows up is the Saints uniform that I don't like seeing.

And don't forget Junior Galette is 14th with 10 sacks...

After a couple of days of being extremely pissed I'm optimistic again as well. Wouldn't surprise me to see us completely dismantle Tampa Bay while Atlanta upsets Cam Newton and the Panthers. Who might I add, have a stagnant offense.

If our offense ever shows up and plays the way they're supposed to, we're blowing out every team in the NFC.

From watching the teams play, Seattle's offense is mediocre, the 49ers offense is better, but still not what the Saints SHOULD be, and the Panthers can't really score on us either. This is our year. I think we'll heat up. Who's with me?

The stats are what frustrate me. They show the potential. But if take out the home games, we're probably in the bottom 5 or 6 in offensive stats. awesome at home, awful away. Sorry to poo poo on the thread, I know it's purpose is to be optimistic. Just don't feel like this team really wants it bad enough right now.

If I was another team and had to play us, I'd certainly be concerned. What I see in the numbers is a bright future. Gotta love the direction of the D.

40whiners are a team that scares me now. With a healthy Crabtree their offense is improved.

This is why we lose on the road

Flags in pockets

Drew Brees tosses four touchdowns as Saints destroy Panthers to regain ...

Rez, you have been kinda bumming me out on the game-day and post-game threads -- BUT -- this post shows real improvement.

I AM WITH YOU!!!

I really don't get you here. The FAILCLOWNS just about took out the 49ers Monday night. If they hadn't gotten lucky there at the end the f*ckin Failclowns would have beaten them!!! No way are are they ALL THAT. I mean OK their defense is scary and they've got a good running game -- but they are beatable by the Saints and others.

I hope they beat Arizona though.

Sorry, I don't think the Saint's are the team to beat. At best we're just another team in the hunt.

Re: Why the Saints are still the team to beat....

Seahawks just proved they are beatable at home, 49ers go the way of Kap and he can be rattled if contained, the bears, eagles and or Green Bay can be handled ... We need to get the swagger back and get on a roll ... Folks this is not older until the fat lady sings and I am sitting on her right now and holding her mouth shut ... I always believe that with Payton and Brees we have a chance and now throw in a surging Ingram and the running game is there. Do not give up , just think we have them where we want them .... Confused and scared of the real New Orleans Saints !!

Folks thought the same at the end of 09 too. We need a solid win against Tampa to get us going.

Re: Why the Saints are still the team to beat....

THINK ABOUT IT. Opponents this year, at seasons end

NE...Fighting for the top seed in the entire AFC.....Played them at home and we all know it's a game we should ve won!

SF....11 wins and battling for the division & NFC title....oh yeah...we beat them!

Arizona....Possibly the hottest team in the NFL, another possible 11 win team....oh and yeah we crushed them at home!

Chi.....Playing for a division title on Sunday....PS we won on the road...yeah check them off too!

Car....Division rival yet another 11 win team and probable division winner, split with the team many rank #2 in the NFL

Seattle....NFL's probable best team, 12 wins and 1 home loss in years.....

Dallas.....Well despite being Dallas , still playing for a division title on Sunday as well, oh yeah NFL 1st down record anybody??

I know we've had some hiccups but if we can get it together, We have shown this year we can play with anybody!!

Bring on the Playoffs!!

Re: Why the Saints are still the team to beat....

The NE game and the most recent CAR game are the only ones that indicate we can make some noise. Both games were on the road and 2 plays make us 2-0 vs 0-2.

TeddyBearXXX, you only have 25 posts, and you post these comments on this thread... Having said that... :stupid:
