Shocked Evans and Grubbs made it.

Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Why?
|
2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
They just didn't seem as dominant this year. Don't get me wrong, very proud of them... Just thought it was kind of a down year.

Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Once again Colston gets robbed
|
Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Revis over Keenan Lewis? That's where the popularity contest aspect of this thing comes into play. Lewis is the best corner in the division. Just gonna have to take it to the next level in 2014!

Lewis got robbed

Congrats to Jordan

Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Killer Cam getting it done, too bad Galette didn't get his same for Lewis too.

Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Unfortunately Alshon Jeffreys should have made it before Colston, he didn't even make it. Sorry, Jeffreys was more deserving, and the other guys were pretty solid. no complaints from me.

I don't know if a DC gets to go to the pro-bowl to coach but in my opionion Rob Ryan should and get DC of the year for turning things completly around in New Orleans.

Evans?!? He's been a soldier through his injury, but this is lazy voting as he's had a down year and should not have been selected; in fact, between the big money and his age - I'm concerned... Cam Jordan has had a breakout year with the sacks (12.5), but his total combined tackles are just a mere (46) while Pats Chandler Jones (11.5 Sacks, 75 Tot Tackles) Jets Muhammad Wilkerson (10.5 Sacks, 42 Solo Tackles) deserved nods as their total numbers are substantially higher; I'm happy for Cam, but he's got to do better, consistently, even with nicks and bruises, otherwise he's going to be an overrated, overpaid specialist like John Abraham who doesn't come through when the plays really count... Even in a year where his play was largely contributal to several of the Saints losses, Brees is still one of the best in the game, even if he and his agent lack the wisdom and used leverage against Loomis and they didn't leave enough cash for supporting cast players... Graham is one of the best TE's in the game and has an opportunity at history if he can reduce the alligator/short arm efforts and can become more physical in creating separation from defenders; granted he's been mauled, but he's got to adapt DURING the game and get the calls to make plays happen... Other considerations, just didn't have the year they could have had... Marquis Colston needs to be fed the ball more - especially with what he's paid; and yet, this stoic, class act just geauxs about his business; After Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, and maybe Andre Johnson, this is the receiver I want, in fact I still want him on my team no matter the case... Pierre Thomas is the best screen back I've ever seen after Barry Sanders; but the league has caught up to the Saints and the opposition sits in screen defensive schemes when he trots onto the field... Tommy Morstead has the talent to be the best; but his inablity to put the ball on the sideline inside their 10 keeps him off the probowl rosters; that, and that awful last punt against the Panthers in Carolina (which I knew, at that moment, we were going to lose)... Keenan Lewis, he's been a great signing, but you've got to create turnovers... David Hawthorne, he's been everything I'd hoped for when we signed him; he's a soldier and a hitter; wish he could rub off more on some of these other guys... Kenny Vaccaro will be on the ProBowl roster next year; his loss was felt immediately and he's definitely an impact player we need moving forward... Kenny Stills should take 90% of the snaps on offense and Payton has got to script more plays for him... |
Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Can't believe Polamalu made it
|
Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl

I can understand junior not making it... But Lavonte David from the Bucs is probably the biggest snub this year.

Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
This new format is gonna suck balls; what happens when a player from the same NFL franchise injures another franchise player?!?
And you have two questionable megalomaniacal a$$clowns are put in charge of the rosters?!? This idea is from the same people who brought us nuts or bolts... Never liked the format was always in Hawaii so most income families weren't able to attend, participate... Players, because of the big money contracts consciously tone it down so as not to risk their asset... There should be an All-Pro team fifty selections with first team, second team, and the remaining honorable-mentions with the caveat that for example, if only one guard deserves to be named, then that's how it is... It would also eliminate these automatic escalators in contracts because everyone and his brother gets selected to a ProBowl... |

Congrats to all the guys. I don't know Colston has to do to make it.

Colston in no way shape or form deserves a pro-bowl invite this year. Receptions- 31st Yards- 28th Avg - 60th TD's - 36th 20+ - 29th YAC - 108th First downs - tied for 20th. Do those even remotely say pro-bowl? |

There are probably 10 to 15 WR's I'd swap straight up for Colston right now. And guess what else, Lance Moore's cap hit will be 5 million, which would be top 20 in the NFL. Our WR's will be grossly overpaid in 2014. |
Re: 2013 Saints to Pro Bowl
Nice to have a defensive lineman there. It's been awhile. I really see Gallete and Jordan being even better next year! Amazing! I'm disappointed Lewis and Gallete didn't get in, but I think they will next year.
