Saints’ 2014 opponents determined
 

With the conclusion of the regular season Sunday night, the Saints and each of the other 31 NFL teams know who they will play in 2014.

While dates and kickoff times won’t be finalized until April, as usual, the Saints know who they will face based on a formula that rotates divisions from year to year.

The combined 2013 record of next year’s opponents is 119-135-2 for a winning percentage of .469 with only four games against playoff teams in 2013 (Carolina twice, Green Bay and Cincinnati).

Here is what the Saints schedule (without dates and times) looks like with their 2013 record.

HOME: Atlanta (4-12), *Carolina (12-4), Tampa Bay (4-12), *Green Bay (8-7-1), Minnesota (5-10-1), *San Francisco (12-4), Baltimore (8-8), *Cincinnati (11-5).

AWAY: Atlanta (4-12), *Carolina (12-4), Tampa Bay (4-12), Detroit (7-9), Chicago (8-8), Dallas (8-8), Pittsburgh (8-8), Cleveland (4-12).

Let's hope for Detroit early also! Remember they are tearing down the metrodome or whatever and the Lions will be playing outdoors at the Univ. of Minnesota's stadium for the next 2 years...

You are a little mixed up.

1. Minnesota Vikings. - Yep the metrodome is being torn down. Vikings home games of 2014 & 2015 are scheduled for the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium.
2. Detroit Lions are in the Downtown Ford Field stadium.
3. Next up (or is that down) Atlanta's Georgia Dome is slated to become a parking lot in 2017 to match the status of their team.

Four playoff teams last year ranked in the bottom six this year (Texans, Vikings, Falcons, Redskins) so you never truly know the strength of a schedule.

Its Haden, period, that makes me worry about Cleveland. Its also what kind of season the panthers have and the bengals are just one of those teams that can trick you on the road.

I'd like to go to that Dallas game next year. I'd like to see the Jerrydome. But when I mentioned it to the wife, she rolled her eyes. I'll have to wait till later in the year to start dropping hints.
